It seems like you have done your research between MT and LT, which is definitely good!

As for King vs Icon, we do offer both and would sway toward King for most of the occasion. I do run King 2.5 (119a - 121a) on my Tacoma with Icon billet arms/RXT leaf, along with the King hydro bump kit. I primarily like to go enjoy a day/weekend trip out to any of our local socal deserts!

While I do wish I can go faster over this/that, I have been very happy with my midtravel setup. As much as I love to push my truck, I definitely value my safety and the limit of the truck as is, is well plenty for a primarily daily driver/commuter for my work and school M-F.

Most of the overland expedition vehicle builds and the mainline overland builds use icon, which is why I chose them - been very happy with them & the customer service. You’re going to get a mixed bag when you ask for opinions on the internet. personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with Fox/Icon/King.

Kings. The Icon top hats that mount to the truck explode. It happened to a local TW member.

I don’t even know what to address here, I never had to wait more than a month for a product from them even when they said up front it was back ordered and in production. Also not sure what person would wait 6 months for a pair of shocks that they were promised have already shipped and never ask for a tracking number to confirm they actually shipped? Sounds like maybe if you could communicate properly with people on the phone, you wouldn’t have had this problem

So a strut tower that the shock is bolted to breaks and breaks the top mount in the process and you blame the coilover? What’s the backstory here? Jumped the truck and bottomed out the coilover? Cause that’s what it looks like to me, cause if the top hat broke, it would still be sitting there bolted to the strut mount, ask me how I know.....

If you can’t differentiate between you finding random pictures on the internet without even knowing the owner of the vehicle, assuming what happened and then blaming a manufacturer for the unknown and me personally knowing someone who had an issue with a company’s customer service, then idk what to tell you. Do I need to buy every single shock on the market for my experience to have value? No, but I don’t have more than a random picture and a made up story about exploding top hats.....install whatever shocks you want OP, but make your decision based on people’s actual experience instead of circulated nonsense on the internet
