I've found that Kirkland brand products are very good. Except for the toilet paper. Costco gets no benefit from selling interior products.

 

You can pick up a 5 qt jug of mobil 1 extended service for $32 and change at Wally World. Not many oils are better.

i used this costco oil for about 10-15k miles, changing every 5k..

my engine did get kinda noisy. the valvetrain got loud.

went back to mobil1...all good again.

but this is very cheap price.

 

A lot of oils are better actually. . . . . you will just have to pay more though.

What’s wrong with Kirkland oil?

The answer is nothing. It’s perfectly fine.

 

The beer is generally considered the worst kirkland labeled product ever.
However, the TP does suck

 

I've never noticed Kirkland brand beer, but I don't drink much beer. OTOH, their Kirkland Single Malt Scotch is usually anywhere from very good to suberb. It depends on what they buy from Scotland.

Costco is also the largest retailer of wine in the US.

Then there is the rotisserie chicken.

 

Kirkland vodka should be mentioned.

 

I gave up Vodka in 1972 after an unfortunate incident where I was overserved by a bartender. I was the bartender. Today it would be called alcohol poisoning, then it was jus sh!tfaced.

 

my manual calls for an oil grade of ILSAC GF-6A. the video posted above mentions the Kirkland is ILSAC GF-5. Serious question, does that matter?
