hello, im new to the tacoma. i have a 05 sr5 prerunner, v6 auto. it is equipped with power windows and door locks, but did not have a kle remote. can anyone tell me how to go about getting one? it does have some sort of security system, because i inadvertly set it off lol. there is a small red led button on the driver side middle dash..what is this? secondly im a bit confused with the turn signal/marker light in the center of the headlight cluster, i noticed they do not light up unless the turn signal or hazard is activated. are they suppose to illuminate WITH the park lights( it in not equipped with drl). i noticed two wires leading to the harness. should there be 3? just seems wierd that only two little side markers function has park lights.im starting to wonder if they were modified for some reason because the head light shells are aftermarket, dynamik is the manu i believe.

    Welcome Tim!

The inboard lights do not function as park/marker lights, only as signals / hazards as you mentioned, and DRLs on trucks so equipped. That is normal for the 2nd gen tacomas.

I'm afraid I can't personally offer a lot of concrete advice on the key fob issue, other than recomending trying to positively identify what sort of security system you have. It would be either aftermarket or the Toyota Dealer-installed system though, as there are no factory alarm systems, only the passive immobilizer.
