Kmc Enduro Fit Question

Anyone have trouble getting there 16" KMC XD enduro to fit?

 

I have the 16x8" KMC XD Hoss (4.5 backspacing, 6 on 5.5, non-hubcentric). It fits with no problems.

 

When I talked to the folks over at 4 wheel parts they told me the 16 would probably not fit due to the larger brake calipers. When I went to discount tire they told me I had to do 17's. Those worked out good. Never had the 16 in my hand to try out but seems like it may have been true

 

I found this short thread. I guess the 09 has a bigger caliper?

My enduros shipped today 16x8 I hope they fit.

 

pretty much what everyone was saying the caliper was too big. Unless your locked into them, I might consider refusing the shipment so it goes back to vendor and you dont have to pay return shipping. Not sure where you ordered them, but might be worth calling them to see if they agree they fit. That way you can at least argue they should pay return freight if they dont fit.

 

would wheel spacers solve the caliper problem?

 

I imagine they might... getting them farther away from the caliper, however at 100 per set of wheel spacers, maybe cheaper to get the 17 inch whells, unless you are already locked into the tires...

I was real lucky. I bought a set of 275/70/16 and was using the oem wheels. But what I really wanted was 17's. Well a day later I called the shop and asked if there was anything they could do for me. They were cool about it and took back the 16's and sold me some wheels with 17's.

 

Well I will have a concrete answer in a couple of days.

I am hoping that they were told they wouldn't fit because people couldn't get them and its easier to tell a customer it wont fit than I cant get them for you. Grasping but its all I have left. The wheels will be here Monday afternoon. I will see if I can mount one and I will grind down the caliper if its minor. If its way off I will sell them on ebay and lose out on shipping. more of a hassle than anything else. Figures, I have that kind of luck. None.

 

i have the exact same size and they fit just fine the only problem is that you wont be able to put on the center caps,i didnt care since they are plastic anyways and might break

 

Well they showed up early and seem to fit. I need to get some black lugs for them. I can push the rim on spin it without hitting the caliper. I took some pics but keep getting this

where did you buy them from? i called some places up and they have them on backorder for weeks. but i asked for 17s

 

I got them off ebay. 522 shipped insured.

 

thats great man but did they fit with the hub caps???

 

I didn't try them with the center caps.

I think I need different lugs. I pushed the wheel on and held it while spinning and the wheel didnt hit the caliper.
