can you camp anywhere for dispersed camping or only specific spots when u are in park? i assume best time would be late end of year as i bet it gets very hot during summer.

Anytime around Thanksgiving is a good time to go, but I don't recommend the TG wkend or any holiday's in the winter, just my personal opinion. I've noticed it doesn't get too packed until late winter, when everyone is tired of winter and usually then DV weather is pretty ideal to escape the cold..

I'd recommend the NatGeo DVNP map. Pretty accurate. The only road I believe it doesn't show is the full portion of South Park Canyon.

There's not just roads galore out there, a lot has been closed off due to funding or road deterioration or they're just plain lazy and call it "Wilderness".

I've spent a few months out there in probably 75% of the park. If you have an idea of what areas of the park you planning on visiting I can PM you a few ideas. :notsure:
