Yeah your right... although Police did bring back the alternating blue a red as of last year. Blue lights are legal as they signify "slow moving vehicle". Buses now have them on the top of the cabs as well. I just wasn't going to make that argument cause I don't plan on using the scanner too often anyways. If I did mount a plow it would be made of carboard... :D do you think they would know the difference?

How are the cops in Wasaga with regards to modifications? and I mean towards locals, not when it gets flooded with douchebags in the summer?

Well I don't have any questionable mods on my truck except some fogs with blue halos that I just mounted behind my grill. But I'm not sure I like the look and probably will change them. I was going to wire the halos into the turn signals and wondered if that would be legal.

Definitely bad arse bro! How long did the whole process of install and mount of the switch take? Also where did you get that toggle switch? Did you mount that switch on a stock cover?

The whole process took maybe an hour. The funny thing is I had everything mounted and wired in about a 1/2 hour... but to mount the toggle took me just as long cause the toggle itself was a little too big for the dummy plug. That is the factory dummy plate, and I had to cut it too almost nothing execpt the upper and lower clips remaining on the backside of it. Basically if anyone is going to use the toggle, just use a smaller one and it won't be as much of headache. Another alternative is to go to Oznium.com and go to the "Scion Switches" and apparently they will fit right in place and give you a factory look. The toggle switch can be found at just about any car parts place or electronics shop for less than $5. I also have it run on a 15amp fused circut just incase there is any surges from the battery. I have done alot of wiring and electronics to cars over the years, so I basically had a jump on what the whole process needed. Even for someone who hasn't done much of it, I can't see it taking more than a couple hours to install.

I was bored today so I pre-wired the heated seats (waiting for the leather to get here) and added LED strip to the truck. It's different than the one you have. Mine also took a month to get here.

I'll try and post videos but I might screw it up as I have never tried to.

It does other patterns and speeds also. Controlled by a 4 button remote.

Thats sweet man... I like how your has different settings. Mine just has one pattern and thats it. You know you probably still have enough room to get that into the hood scoop if you wanted, its just that a couple lights in each end won't show. Where did you get yours?

Mine is completely open... but I doubt it does much. It really only did two things... 1) It stopped some of the hood bobbling at high speeds on the highway (I guess because air isn't getting trapped in the lip of it at those speeds). 2) It lets out hot engine air, help keep it slightly cooler under there.

Not sure if it would fit up there... it's 56cm/22" long. I got this one off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/New-56cm-Blue-LE...Accessories?hash=item3efa9103fd#ht_5051wt_941

    About $30 shipped.

Is your ONLY option the "meet in the middle and then split to opposite directions" LED? I hope you get what I'm asking. KITT moved from left to right and so on, but the videos didn't show that. Just curious.

Other than that, its pretty cool. The fact it matches the truck is a nice touch. You're right though about reliving your childhood memory. :D haha. I remember Knight Rider. I watched an episode not too long ago and asked myself what was I thinking. Oh well, I was a kid.

Is the one mounted in the grill flexible like a rope light or rigid?

It's fairly rigid... might be able to do a slight bend with it.

Yeah mine only meets in the middle... it only has the one setting.

BLKTRD6SP... if you were to cut out the scoop you may have room... thats if your even interested in putting it there. I'll measure mine and see if it possible...

I was thinking maybe orange led's (although LED's are too bright) to match the parking lights and blinkers (I like how my DTRL mod keeps keeps the blinkers on the dimmer filament). Not really a fan of the scanner style but thought maybe dim orange lights like the parking lights would look good in the scoop. Wonder if thats illegal. No blinking or scanning, just on or off and not too bright.
