I lost my Gerber last week camping, so I am looking for a replacement. I am looking at the SOG FSA-8 Flash 2. Anyone feel like talking me into paying 40 bucks?

Now I carry this ever day:

    Edit:

    Top one was $80 New

Second one list for $205 (I paid $150 new)

$40 is nothing for a good knife

Yeah I agree. I think I can justify to myself (and the wife) to spending around 50 bucks for a good pocket knife. I wouldnt use it daily, but its nice to know what when I need it, it will be sharp and will stay sharp.

I just found a Kershaw Ken Onion Black Blur on Amazon for 50. If its blade locks, I may consider it also.

So any opinions on the Kershaw vs the SOG?

Both are good makers. Go to a knife shop or gun show and handle a few before you buy them. See what one feels better in your hand.

    Edit:
Personally I would probably prefer a SOG because I have had them in the past and know they are great.

I went with the SOG because of the straighter blade. THe Kershaw has more curve to the blade, which I am not a fan of
