No Imo, oem filters are best can buy 4 for the cost of 1 k&n

Add up the cost of air filters over a 10 year period and then compare it to a K&N and cleaner kits over the same period. I bet you I saved a lot of money that was otherwise used on beer or gas to get out and about. I won't get into the oil vs oiless or performance gains because that's not why I bought one, but having a cleanable air filter does save money in the long run.

I only use 2 filters a year since installing the snorkel. I buy a 4 pack for the just in case factor. Before the snorkel I would have totally agreed with you cause in could kill a filter in a weekend no problem.

Gains are psychosomatic.
Gadget dynoed a 2nd gen with stock intake and oem filter.

He also dynoed with the emissions/carbon filter deal removed.

He finally dynoed with that filter removed, and the actual air filter removed.

No change in hp or tq

I wouldn't run a K&N or K&N style filter on anything. Whether on a bike, atv, or truck, every time I've taken an intake apart with one of these filters they're full of silt, in some cases they've let in enough to destroy the top end. You can Run them if you like em I guess.
