I recently got my motor rebuilt at 316k and after about 200 miles after rebuild the check engine light came on. It is throwing a knock sensor 2 bank 2 code. I have replaced both knock sensors and harness yet it still throws the code. Any idea ?

Could be a problem with the ECU.

Or it’s possible you made a mistake installing the sensors and harness.

Now when I replaced the knock sensors and wiring harness I did use the import direct brand. OE was in the ball park of $600 to replace both sensors and wiring harness. So it’s probably a self inflicted problem with Aftermarket parts.

Yeah always use OEM sensors. Try ordering from McGeorge; they're a little cheaper.

Icon/TC Mid travel, TRD S/C, PNP Greddy EMU, 625cc injectors, 2.2 pulley, Hayden tranny cooler, AEM wideband, TRD boost gauge.
Slightly off yet on topic, those DTC codes show an RPM range of 2000 - 5600, I was under the impression the OEM ECU only looks at the knock sensors from 3000 - redline. Is this in error and its essentially in "knock closed loop" starting at 2K RPM?
