Ok so I changed my plugs and my oil and it started to knock this morning inside the cab. Used denso platinum plugs cause they were 2.99 and advance auto could that be the problem? It seems like the plugs after I changed them it amplified the tacoma tick but wasn't too sure. Anyone have any ideas?

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
4.0 or 2.7? (Don't recall if the PreRunner ever comes with the 2.7, sorry).

For the 4.0, use only copper plugs (I get them from the dealer, even there they don't rape you too bad.) The concensus is that platinum plugs + 4.0 = problems.

Is this "knock" you hear at idle, or under load (accelerating, driving uphill)? If it's the latter two, it could be spark knock. I'd pull the plugs and swap them with an equivalent copper plug (even if not from the dealer, at least get copper plugs from the local parts store).

Any chance you underfilled the oil or swapped in the wrong weight oil? Oil light coming on or staying on longer than usual (more than 1-2 seconds) when you start the truck?

Yeah it's the 4.0 the normal tacoma tick it seemed like it amplified after the platinum plugs were put in. I put 5 qts of 5w30 havoline me brand didn't change the filter though
