knocking sound not the famous "tick"

My 2011 V6 just recently started making a sound that resembles this. I always remember hearing a soft ticking sound since new from engine area, but this is much more loud. I am a bit overdue on a spark plug change at about 40,000 since last change. Maybe a bit more slightly since I didn't have ODO recalibrated after my lift. Did anyone find our what is the most likely reason for the cause of the noise? Could it be one of my spark plugs knocking?

When I posted my “late to the party” comment about 9 months back, I mentioned my truck was making that sound with 139k. Well, 9 months later and the mystery continuous, but it’s still running like a hoss. As unsettling as it is I’m included to just assume it is indeed “normal” to some extent.

155k now. three trips from SC to Ohio and back. Running good.

 

Or (or AND)...put some Seafoam in it every 4,000 miles. A little CRC Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner won't hurt either.

 

I have 2000 tacoma with the v6. 278k miles and that ticking noise has just started. Have not figured out what it could be. Put bosh spark plugs in it a few yrs ago and change oil 2-3times a year. Truck still runs great, no issues beond that loud new ticking noise. Sounds exactly like that video and seems louder on the passenger side of the truck. Any ideas maybe what i could check?
