When I push on my brakes going 5-10MPH in my 2009 tacoma I hear a knocking/clicking sound. Dose anyone know why my tacoma is doing this?

Continuous clicking/knocking or just when you first push the breaks?

Engage Long Travel 6 over with race spindles. 2.5x8 sway a ways wrapped in King Coils.
If you can feel it kick back it might be your ABS. You might have moisture in your braking system. Have it pressure flushed. That should usually be done every two to three years in any car with ABS.
If it makes the car shake it is a warped rotor usually caused by riding the brakes. Maybe have the rotors turned or replaced.

Could also be a bad ball joint, bushing or if you had your alignment done recently possibly a loose ecentric but you should know if it is that, truck would be all over the road!

Ceck everything front end, brake calipers, lug nuts, shocks. Could be anything! Nice truck though!

I hear the sound each time I first push on the brakes when I want to come to a stop, when I back out of the driveway and first push on the brakes it makes the sound, and when I drive around town I hear the sound when I come to stop signs and lights.

    The sound just started happening.

I don't have the knocking sound but my brakes push back occasionally, at random times really. Haven't a clue what it is.

I heard that sound recently too. Sort of like an electronic click?

I've always assumed it was the brainbox for the remote starter I installed making the noise.
