I recently changed my brake pads and rotors, and now my front drivers side wheel makes a knocking and squeaking sound that speeds up with acceleration. This sound goes away whenever the brakes are compressed. Nothing feels loose and it doesn't look like anything is hitting the wheel/rim. Any ideas as to what this could be? I made a precious post but I think it was in the wrong category.

Did you take the wheels off and re-inspect your work to confirm all is good? If not, that's where I would start.

I agree with this, except I’d spin the wheel while it’s off the ground to get a better idea of what is going on. Then pull the wheel/tire off. Also, I like to clean the retaining pins REALLY good. As well as the area where the pads rest. I actually choose to buy new pins this last time I bought brakes.

Tacoma brakes are about the simplest design to change pads on. Did you install all shims and spring clips on the new pads? Wondering if a spring clip or pin got missed and it's causing the pads to bounce around a bit.

Post some pics if you cant find an issue.

It'll probably be something obvious, palm to forehead moment, we all have them.
