    Just wanted to say this is impressive, and good luck!

    I repainted my frame and drive train the other year. Accidentally (well, absent-mindedly) drove through a brine river at a salt mine. Rust everywhere! Didn't fully remove the body, but jacked it up a couple inches off the frame. Wire brushed everything and did 2 coats of POR15 them a rattle can black to protect from UV. Looked great for a while!

    I will say, I do a lot of fast driving on dirt and gravel. After a year, all the paint is gone, wherever it gets sandblasted.

    I do still recommend painting things while you have it apart, but as others have said, best to also (and frequently) douse things with cosmoline, fluid film, or whatever your favorite liquid rust prevention is. I don't do this myself, but I'm in socal so rust doesn't happen... unless you drive through a salt bath. And now I'm careful to wash it off afterwards when that happens.

    fuel tank is moved along with EVAP
    exhaust is off
    rear bumper mounts are not fun to get off
    need more daylight
