Another "will these fit post." I apologize ahead of time but I need some advice. I have an 08 tacoma with bilstein 5100s all around and a 2"AAL. I probably have about a 2.5" lift. I am looking at the following tires on the 18" XD Hoss (4.5" backspace) and would like to know which would be the best option that would only require minor trimming, if any.

    All Nitto Terra Grapller
    285/65/18 Diameter 32.6, Width 11.22
    285/60/18 Diameter 31.5, Width 11.22
    275/65/18 Diameter 32.07, Width 10.8

Which would require minor to no trimming? Also the rim is only 9" wide, is there any issue fitting these tires on there?

They will all fit with very minor rubbing. May need to beat down the pinch weld. I don't think you will need trimming, other than maybe the first one.

I have stock UCAs. Not sure if that matters.

In order to reduce rubbing (4.5" wheel backspace keep in mind) should I go with the 285 (less diameter, more width) or the 275 (more diameter, less width)?

Are you talking about trimming the body, trimming the frame, or what?

Also what tool do you use for this?

I have 285/70/17 on my tacoma...I removed my mudflaps (flathead screwdriver and philips) just pop those rivets off...and trimmed less than a 1x1 lower inner corner of fender(rotary saw, dremel saw whatever)....I still get rub at full lock cutting wheel to right but I barely do that and if I feel it rub just back off it...my daily driving I have zero rub...I do not off road...most people will rub alot more when off roading with my set up but it works for me. Its not at bad as u think with 2.5" up front you will need to trim but its so easy...do not sweat it

I ordered them. Excited to get them on, even though I have to wait 4 months because I am deployed! I read that there wont be many issues but then I get somethign like this:

"Sorry to disagree with you guys but there will be more than just minor rubbing...been down this road a couple of times and heading that way again shortly. "

I guess I will find out.

Don't sweat it bro!! It heard it it all too. You will love your new lift and will be glad u did it after...trust me....majority on this issue is minor trimming and removal of mud flaps!!
