There are many common gripes and flaws the Taco has, I am not going to re-hash them cause they are easy enough to look up and I don't necessarily agree with them all anyway. Personally, the only gripe I have is that the radio sounds like SHIT. I'm good otherwise with my 22 OR MT. For what it is and what I got it for (hunting truck), it meets the need.

22 Off Road DCLB - 56k problem free miles so far. Going to need some new tires soon, but don’t think that’s a MFG problem.

If you’re super sensitive to appearance, my bed, rear bumper, and hood looked like they were aligned by drunken monkeys. Dealer offered to fix it no questions asked, but it’s a truck so couldn’t bother.

Also, the HVAC box will drip a wee bit of water on the passenger side rubber floor mat on a very humid day. My ‘11 Tacoma did the same, and so do my boots every time I get in the car when it’s raining or snowing. Got 270k problem free miles out of my 2nd gen. Hoping and expecting something similar from my ‘22. Wish I could find a pair of boots that’ll last that long.

My take: if you like it, buy it and don’t worry. Maybe check back on the forum every time you roll another 100,000 miles on the odometer and let us know how you’re liking it.
