I know how it happened but that doesn't help. My wife was standing the garage as I pulled in and I over compensated to not hit her. I realize no matter what, I wouldn't have hit her going .005 MPH but none the less I scrapped the wall. Ugh.

I guess I'll try some touch up paint on the scratch before I take it to a body shop, but looking for suggestions on the fender flair. I tried alcohol, "Back to Black" 303 with little help. A new one is about $220 OEM. Any suggestions on how to make this look a bit better?

Black sharpie on the flare? Or black shoe polish.

Touch up paint for the white and plastic dip the whole flair. Should get you a few thousand miles.

Op this happen to me almost exactly yesterday morning... I scraped my black fender flare but I got to remove the most notorious scratches (not the deep ones) of it just by rubbing it with a rag and then some black plastic protectant... I thought I had to replace the fender flare but I got VERY lucky on this one...

    Not enough to list
Park it in a bad neighborhood and leave the keys on the driver seat, preferably with the drive door open. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will go on a police chase, get a pit maneuver and flip a dozen times. Insurance will total it and you will get a new truck, problem solved.

There is an easy solution to this. But it comes with a price. You will lose any texture the flare has.

The flares are made of ABS. ABS can be easily treated with pure acetone. But here is the kicker. You have to have a microfiber towel sopping with acetone. Wipe it ONCE. Leave it saturated. Let it dry. Maybe five minutes if that.

So ABS melts when in contact with acetone. You can remove scratches and all other kinds of issues with acetone on ABS. But the issue is that it dries smooth as glass. It’s slick and shiny when finished. I learned how to do this when painting the accent pieces on a Bimmer.

You can lay the towel on the plastic and let it dry. Peel it off and it’ll leave the towel print. It’ll be textured. Not the same as factory.

Anyways, long story short, acetone melts ABS. Have fun, enjoy chemistry, and good luck if you try this.

It’s a TRD OR. If you’re worried about that little scratch on the fender flare you need to just get a little more aggressive offroad until the other 4 match.

The painted part though, that sucks.

Did something similar in my tight garage but looked much worse than OP. Ended up fixing the bumper with blow dryer and https://www.automotivetouchup.com. Pretty damn happy with the results. My fender flare isn’t worth to replace yet. It’ll get scratched up eventually.

I used some bed restorer in my bed and it did a great job, it may work on that black fender. It was called Forever Black Truck Bed gel

I have never hit anything in the garage. I park outside and leave the wife’s car in the garage. She would probably scratch something before I did

Sand it down with something medium/fine grit, then with fine grit, then finish with ultra fine grit, then use back to black on it or just repaint it.
