Its just one line of chaulk across the tire tread, roll forward and adjust pressure so solid line on pavement right?

You can google it. It's pretty simple. One line across the tire. Roll forward for a few rotations, see where the chalk wears. If it wears in the middle, deflate it a little. If it wears on the outside, inflate it a little. Keep adjusting until it wears evenly.

For reference, my 285/75/16s are set at about 33-35psi. In my opinion 40psi in a 265 is way too much. Let alone 58.

If your going to do the chalk method, buy a bottle of contractors chalk.

Look up the tire specs for your specific tire. Inflate to your vehicle weight (accounting for weight distribution).

I get it now. The reason I questioned the other posters reply because it didn't make sense when I read it. Turned out it had a spelling error which threw me off, which he ended up correcting after my quote.

    That's crazy talk.
Around here, we use PSI to adjust mileage, handling, transverse contact patch that doesn't account for scrub and alignment...anything but weight.

I run mine at 35psi in the front and 32psi in the rear if I'm not hauling anything. Seems to be pretty good so far. The dumb ass tire guy that put them on cranked them to 50psi, even after I asked him not to. Needless to say it drove like shit my first time around the block(tires squeeling, and makeing alot of noise) until I adjusted them down. He lost a lot of business that quick.
Chalk test is the best method though
