Hi, long story short, I have a TRD Sport Mall crawler with Icon stage 1 lift etc. 90% city driving so any tire I put in is basically just for looks and not noisy. Have the TRD Pro wheels and have not installed them yet because I'm undecided on what tires to install.
So, I like the looks on the KO2's but in my research I've found they are pretty heavy tires and also are LT (load C) but still LT tires which makes them ride harder. I've also read about balancing issues etc. etc.
My question for KO2'ers is, is there really a difference on the ride quality? I mean I will love to get some P rated tires that look as cool as the KO2's but have not find them. I can get Toyo's really cheap with a friend. But the AT2's look don't convince me at all.
    Let the games begin!

You said yourself you have lifted mall crawler with 90% city driving

    Ko2 is perfect for that

I can't wait for my first ko2 compliment at Starbucks

    Good luck BRO

P.S. Congrats on a great troll thread, well done!

haters gonna hate. It's a great tire and looks awesome. I have the e load ko2 and the ride is a bit stiffer. Overall very happy with tires on pavement.

C rated tires shouldn't be bad. E rated is where it gets pretty stiff. If you are really worried about stiffness then get 16" wheels to get those side wall possible.

Why not buy for the function you need and forget the lookers?

Peer pressure is never good for the wallet.

You're fighting a losing battle with that argument here, but I agree for the most part

Because if one is telling us they are mall crawling with lift and 90% city, they can't spell the word function ...

Puerto Rican Papis all about the looks

They troll hard and make funny threads like this one to get a reaction

Don't get me wrong. I dig looks. As long as it is complimentary to usable function.

Poseur tires aren't one of them.

People used to laugh at me running race tires on the street in a small underpowered sports car. Until they tried to keep up going around corners or through twisties.

What the hell is a poser tire? Why does everyone act like Bf Goodrich makes a shitty product and is for strictly looks??? It's getting annoying with all the stupid threads, its a tire, a good tire buy it or don't.... not sure why the constant questions about it either....

Personally, I would look into other brands. I'm currently debating on pullingthe trigger on some coopers. I don't have experience with the ko2s but for me first impressions mean everything. I had KOs on my rock warrior years ago and they were absolute garbage. It was, and still is, difficult for me to read everyone's positive reviews when my personal experience was so shitty. But that's why you research and browse around. Yes there's more positive reviews about the new KO2s, but I believe there are more badass looking tires that'll suit your functionality and cost. Just my 0.02.

BTW we did just put 285 55 20s Ko2 on the '13 in my avatar. They are quieter, grip better and ride better than the toyo open country at2 extremes that came off.....and i have already been to Starbucks today haha

I had general grabber AT2s in standard load. They rode great, were light, and STILL performed great off road while aired down. The tread is similar to KO2 as well but way cheaper.
