I'm running 50lb in my 285/70R17E KO2s and they ride great. Firm but not harsh. No TPMS issues at all.

For reference, I'm running about 35psi on 285s KM2s. 50psi is way too much.

    Do the chalk test.

Always run tires to what your door says in the Jam. Only run lower if the tire max's out below that.

I run 36psi front and 34psi rear on my 265/75/16 KO2s. No problems, don't listen to that crap the shop tells you. 50psi is too high for these small trucks unless your carrying a lot of weight.

Find the time, chalk test the tires and be done with it. Mine was perfect with 36front and 34 rear(without weight in the back). Fully loaded with all camping gear and what not, I find 36 all around to work well.

At 50psi, you'll be wearing out the middle part of the tires quickly, these trucks just don't have the weight to put down a flat even contact patch at 50psi, unless you carry a lot of gear and ass around lol.

Not always; only if you maintain the OEM tire size and load rating.
If an suv/truck comes with OEM, P or ISO metric tires, it is calculated at 110% of GVWR.

An LT tire will require more psi to attain the same load rating as a metric tire of similar size.
On the other hand, larger tires require less psi to attain the same load rating.

In my case; recommended 30 psi ISO metric 265/70/16/112 load index, is equal to, 36 psi LT/265/75/16/E @ 100% GVWR.
I choose to inflate to 100% GVWR, because on any given day, I could come close to putting that kind of weight in.
If I wanted to 'nail it', I would hop on some scales, and calculate it that way.

Email bfg they will tell you different.

Lt235/85/16 km2 and bfg recommended me to set it at 45/50 psi.

Did not do chalk test because of the damn weather

I run 35 PSI cold in my 265/70/17 KO2's. The warm to about 39 PSI at this time of the year and I have no issues. I squeaked out 21.5 MPG today.

I base it on tire wear: An over inflated tire will wear down the center, and an under inflated will wear on the outer edges. On two different Tacomas, around 35 psi cold gives even wear across the whole tread. Also means I am getting the greatest amount of contact with the road.

Tire pressure will increase ~1 degree F for every 10 degrees in temperature increase (above cold inflation pressure). So, I run a little more pressure in cold weather, because the tires don't get as hot as they do in summer.

    I ran my KO2s 265 70 17s E range in the city at 37-39 no issues.

Can the 2nd gen TPMS work for 3rd gens?

50 psi no winter why every one complains how hard they ride. 35 cold 37 warm is more then enough. If you see the tire scuffing on the sides oy then up the psi a little

Can't run em under 50? Huh that's interesting. I run my 285/75/16s at 35. Sometimes slightly lower if I go off-roading.

Just got in from chalk testing some 265/70/17E KO2s I had put on last week. I settled on 37/34, unweighted. Chalk seemed to wear off the fronts super even, but I was still holding on to about an inch or so of chalk on the outside tread on the rear tires. Pretty warm out today, 73°, so it'll be interesting to check them again in the morning.
