Has anyone had experience with the bfg ko2 dt? Ordered a set online thinking they were regular ko2’s and they are the dt model. I know the differences, but has anyone driven them in snow vs the regular ones? If so how did they perform compared to the other ones?

Moe2o4, the dt version stands for different tread. Basically a harder rubber compound which makes the tire last longer, but also loses the 3peak snow rating. I need them for snow so I’m curious to see if they’re really that different.

If you are buying KBro2's for the snow you better look into another tire cause they absolutely suck in the snow let alone all other conditions!

They sound like they are the complete opposite, of what you want.

The size I’m getting is all load E, but there are still two versions of that load size. And moe2o4, what would you suggest?

Actual snow tires are good for ice,but lack the performance in deep snow.

found this on Tire Rack (under Description)

All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires labeled "DT" utilize a different tread compound designed to improve wear in high-torque applications and improved chip and tear resistance in gravel. Tires featuring this compound carry a 50,000-Mile Treadwear Warranty and are NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol. They can be identified by the "DT" branding on the sidewall immediately following the service description, and are labeled on the Specs page and in search results.

I run a set of Cooper M+S Snow Tires all winter and haven't had any issues in light or deep snow. Truck goes great in either conditions. The Cooper's don't pack snow at all!

Ahh yes, this is starting to sound familiar. I looked into it a while back trying to sell one spare KO2 I have kicking around. Other than the 3PMSF its kinda hard to tell them apart - Im not sure most people even know theres a difference

To answer your question directly, no. I run the 3PMSF version. And for what its worth, I think they are pretty damn good for an AT tire. Yes you will get better traction out of a snow tire (duhh), but thats expensive. You can add a few sandbags over the rear axle and that will help a ton.
