I've read a lot about thise tires. A lot of ppl are complaining a lot of ppl like them.
I have a chance to buy set of brand new KO2's 265/70 17 112/109S (which is what I need) for 750$ cash.
Despite their flaws , is it worth it to go for it?
Curently i have Toyo OC AT3 and I was able to do 70k miles on them. They are due for replacement.

What flaws? I have the E rated KO2'S and other than them being a bit on the heavy side, they are a beast of a tire. They sell a ton of them for a reason.

Not sure, ppl were complaining about them being noisy, especially over time. Uneven thread wear etc. I don't do much of the offroading, mostly I got street/highway miles.

I’ve been running BFG All Terrains on a truck or jeep for almost 30 years now. Love them. Snow, rain, pavement, work well for me

750 seems to be a good deal these days.

I say mount them and run em. You'll pay a lot more if you're going to be picky. And really, KO2s are a good tire, even amongst us who aren't impressed by them. Because when I say I'm not impressed, what I really mean is I'm not impressed... for the outlandish price that they normally are.

Edit, just check the date stamp. Don't buy them if they're more than a couple of years old.

If you’re just buying for the looks, don’t buy ko2s. They’re heavy, expensive, loud, and terrible in the rain.

Looks like most of the people like them here. When I was checking the price online and a couple spots the cheapest I could find was like 250 per tire plus tax. So I think 750 cash it's a pretty good deal. My Toyo Open country tires were great, and the mileage I could get out of them I think it's hard to beat. I think I will take a chance.
I appreciate all of you guys responses.
    Thanks.

Yes I know there are ko3s out there right now but they're super expensive and I don't think I can get the set of them for $750 cash or anywhere near that price..

    Just my 2cents.
Price is good and tires are decent.
It all depends on seller and tire.
A lot of places have buy 3 get one free.
We also have fly at night places that sell used and new.
Purchased some snows at the flyers place
They were new great price etc.
They were out of date and he sold them way cheaper after I pointed it out.
Tires stored in the dark don’t degrade quick. No cracks etc still had an oily film on them. Running low mileage on snows but being stored in the dark during summer I’ve had no issues with them.

It depends on where your priorities are. If a set of tires cost you an extra $300 and you get better MPG and an extra 20k miles out of them are they worth it? Based on you saying mostly street and highway I would look at BFG Trail Terrains, Falken A/T Trail or something similar.

I ran a few sets of BFGs for more than 15 years on my old Frontier, they were great, never had issues with them.
I'm running Falken WP AT3 right now, i like em, the only reason i went with falken is the price, they were cheaper than the BFGs at the time.
$750 for a set is damn good deal if they aren't worn or rotted.

Trail Terrains - I think that's what I'll do when I need tires. Seems like a good balance between all season and all terrain, without all the extra unsprung weight of an E rated tire. Plus they have the snowflake.

Unpopular opinion over here but duratracs>k02's
My experience with k02's/grabber AT's was lack luster at best. Mediocre wet performance miserable winter performance and loud for the shallow tread count.

All I've owned on my last 3 vehicles are BFGs......in my current DCLBs case I'm running KM3s.
The secret with any AT or MT BFGs is the same; make 100% sure you are rotating them religiously. I'm generally at a 3k rotation plan.
I also purchased them from Discount Tire, so I get unlimited free rotations and that helps ease the PITA of frequent rotations.

I had K02s and when they wore out I chose another brand. Those people that love them buy them tire after tire. Curious as to why people go to something else after first running these. For me they seemed heavy, noisy, terrible with snow and ice. But I have not driven off road so much. Opinions are a hornets nest on this site for sure. For that price, if lightly used, might be good for another 40-50k. Good luck.

Ok, here's a little update I went and bought those tires. I was able to knock something off the price and I got them for $700 cash. After checking manufacturing date all four of them are either from December of 2023 or January 2024 , so I guess they're brand new. All stickers are present and they really look brand new. Now I just need to find a cheap place to install them and balance them here in New York :)

Originally I wanted to go with the same Toyo OC AT3 tires that I had before but I can't find them anywhere in decent price.
