Suprised no one has said these yet, but I really like my Bridgestone Revo2's AT. They are great on the road, and decent off road traction. They are awesome in the rain as well, quiet on the highway and I think they are pretty good looking. I had them on my DCSB and I kept them on my 17" wheels on my runner. I have 265/70/17

Funny you should mention that - those were the ones I spotted and have on "wish list" at an online retailer. But in the 265/70/16 not 75. Figuring the lighter and tad shorter tire would put a little pep back in my step as they say. The KO2s are some heavy dogs man. Take more to get rolling and more to stop ! Then I thought about dropping the question here. Lots of great options ! But you are right the Bridgestones do look nice - As do the Toyo and Falkens.
Try to post a pic of those on your truck. Not sure I've ever seen that size -

They are some big tires, I've driven several Tundras with them installed. I had these two pictures on my phone, kind of hard to see on the tacoma but they are the same wheels and tires on my runner. Nice package, I'd say they complimented the tacoma very well. Looked great at stock ride height.

How is it not common knowledge by now that load range E is too much for our trucks. Load range C MAX. That is what I run and they are the quietest, smoothest, best highway driving AT tire I have ever run. The are also fantastic off road as already posted numerous times on this forum.

Load range doesn't necessarily mean they are "tougher"on the outside or more resistant to chunking. It means they are constructed to handle more weight hence why most people think they offer a rough ride on our lighter trucks.

Sometimes load range E is all that's available or is cheaper because no one wants it. That's how it was with my Duratracs, not that I ever cared because "it's a truck!". The new tires will definitely have a lot more thought put into them as far as weight, ride comfort/highway handling, and lastly trail abilities.

I went from Load E Duratracs to load C KO2 on my FJC 2 weeks ago. The ride quality difference is night and day. Definitely stick with Load C tires or P-metric if you can get away with lesser ply. I'll never go back to load E on a lite-weight daily driver.

Got it - the E was the ones available in the size I needed and were in sale. My bad.
I have found 31-10.5-15 KO2's priced right with free shipping and a $50 gift card.
Now I need to confirm 15" wheels will fit on my 03 Tacoma - AND find some nice LIGHT wheels without a crazy offset -
Anybody want to point me in that direction would be great ! Not big on Tire Rack's selection.

agreed on the Duratrac ride but that softness does come at a price in that I didn't feel mine had nearly as good of a lifespan as either my MTRs or Cepek Mud Country's which exhibited a similar ride and performance on and off road.

Are you sure it is the tires and not the lift and the fact that you were driving a much newer truck?

That is a stupid post. 12 replies in a thread a from 2016 and two of them aren't even all terrain tires. Only 3 choices, none of which are the actual best AT tires. The Cooper's are one of the best hybrid tires not to mention that probably the best AT tire as well (AT3) but they don't look the coolest.

OP, you just have to decide how aggressive you want and your tradeoff for noise. Most all the suggestions (the aggressive AT's at the hybrids especially) will be louder than stock and you will be able to hear them, the big thing is they will get louder as they get older.

Personally the AT2 General would be tops for a more aggressive AT tire, the p-rated versions have 16/32 of tread which is as much or more than many LT tires from other makers. Toyo AT2 would be my next choice. Don't go higher then C-rated though if you don't off road but on occasion I would go with a P-rated.

For hybrid tires either the cooper st maxx or wild peaks first choice (honorable mention of the ridge grappler).

Thanks Tyler - I am realizing the "E" factor must be my main culprit.

If this was meant for me.. Yes I am sure the newer truck and Toytec suspension make the ride so much nicer. But before my truck even went in I was about done with the hard ride of the KO2's That being said I ran original KO's on this same truck from new until you could see the air inside (over 80k miles) and never noticed them being so hard. They were 265/70/16's which must have been C. That size was not available in the KO2's when I bought so I went with the 75's which were E. My mistake.. I ordered online and didn't pay attention....
Having said that I see the 31/10.5/15 KO2 is indeed C rated and I would just need a 15" wheel. Im am looking into that possibility now. IF that comes about I will be selling very low mileage KO2s on TRD Bead Lock FJ Cruiser wheels - You young guys that can handle the E factor might get a bargain.. Thanks everybody. Im glad I found this forum to add to the plethora of forums I frequent for my hobbies.
