Never used their power tools, but they are my go to for just about any new hand tool I need from sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, shovels, rakes, etc.

I bought a 4 peice 20volt kit when I was shopping for a dewalt cordless circular saw, I was skeptical as the kit price was the same as the dewalt saw. I decided to give a try, figuring if I didn't like it I could give to my father as a gift..lol. well I have to say I am very pleased with Kobalt tools, I never thought of the as being cheap or underpowered, they compare nicely to any other cordless tools I have used. Not sure how long they will last in heavy usage. But well worth it for the odd little Reno job. I kept them and use them up at camp and as a spare set for helpers to use. And would recommend them and even buy them again if anything happens to them. And apparently they have a 5 year warranty, here in Canada anyways. And a friend that works at Lowe's says it is almost a no question asked warranty, I take that comment with a grain of salt, but will see if the time comes.

We got them in store the other day, the drill and impact seem pretty well built but the sawzall seems a little "plasticy" and the light is just a cheap light (I think it's a single LED)

We do have a good warranty on them, I'm gonna wait until I can get just the drill and impact and test them out, I don't really care for the feel of the rest of the kit.

While looking at the Craftsman C3 drills online, I noticed that its construction looks extremely similar to the Kobalt. This is a side by side of the Kobalt 24V brushless and the Craftsman 19.2V brushless. Wondering if it's made in the same factory in China with different plastics molded onto the outside?

If that's the case, then you really couldn't go wrong with either.
