No place, but date is June 18th and time is between noon and 1 I'd say. I get off the ferry in Homer at around 730 and I'm guessing 5 hours to Anc. I'm stopping at American Tire to get some new shoes before I transit down south...

American Tire had the Kumho's you were looking for...(did I remember that right?)

Are you staying that night or pressing to TOK that day? If you're going to American Tire on 4th...Lucky Wishbone is walking distance...best fried chicken I've ever had (and I'm a southerner originally). Matter of fact, I had lunch there when American Tire did my winter tires. No booze, but if that's not a factor and you wanna meet/eat/get back on road...it's an option.

    Guess I could have PM'd, but WTH...again enjoy your B'day brother!:D

I'm looking at getting to Tok or Glenallen by the evening. I went with Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread's. I had them on my previous car and made it thru 2 Kodiak winters without studs or chains. Granted I was front wheel drive but that says something about a tire. They had 3 but they said they could have the 4th in by the 18th...I guess its the downtown one.

Definitely not drinking, but fried chicken sounds bad ass.

Lucky Wishbone it is...assuming we're talking about American Tire on 4th.

    Is this the #...(907) 276-7878?

They're good people...absolutely no problems with the winter tires purchased/mounted for my truck and the wife's Escape.

Glenallen would be easy in 4 to 5 hours. Tok about another 3 (if memory serves)...also easy considering all the daylight in Summer...make sure you have a couple of numbers for motels there to make arrangements if your gonna get a room. Fast Eddies is popular in Tok...and outstanding chow! Did you get a Milepost for the drive?

The number I have is 336-7878, I called the 276 number on Saturday and the guy told me to call back at the 336 number. I've got the Milepost for the drive, I stopped at a place in Tok on the way in, can't remember the name but it was tasty. From there I went to Glenallen and stayed the night at a hotel there, I was quite happy with what I got lol. Nice soft bed, shower, and a jetted tub after a long trip through Canada was amazing.

That's the number for the Old Seward Hwy location; 276 is the 4th Ave location. They could probably move the tires to whichever location you want and set up an appointment for you. If you already have an appt at Old Seward, there's a couple options in that area...it's close to Dimond Center.

I'll be coming into Anc on the Old Seward Highway I think, if I recall right. Honestly, I'm down for Wendy's, Chili's, fuckin anything besides the BS they have here lol

There's a Chili's and Red Robin reasonably close...you could drop the truck at American Tire and we could hit either...so long as you're comfortable with leaving the truck with AM Tire and grabbing chow while they get the new shoes on it.

Mmhmm dead robin. Whiskey River BBQ burger!! FTMFW!!! I feel comfortable with that, they have shown my exceptional customer service so far, I don't see why they would fuck over my truck when I'm not looking.
