I'm surprised an ambitious guy like you doesn't have a small media blaster

Yes, there were a few times that blaster would have come in handy.

I was spoiled before I retired. I had access to those tools for free.

Fuel tank installed. Of all the steps of this process, the tank install was the biggest pain in the ass!

It only will bolt up if it is perfectly positioned. 2 hours fighting this thing and finally got it!

Previous owner cut off the front spring mount. Grafted a new mount.

Ordered a new radiator for the project truck...and promptly drove over it the day it was delivered.

I don't remember if I posted it in this thread or not.

I wrecked my phone yesterday working on the truck and I'm not fully synced with the new phone.

    Kinda.

I replaced the radiator in my tundra last month.

While doing that job, I knocked over some iron and punctured the brand new radiator that I was about to install.

In short I've purchased 3 rads in the last month.

Hopefully I can get thru this list tomorrow. Like I said earlier, I play Textris just to get to the next step.

Move shit so I can move other shit into its place.

    Wash, rinse, repeat.

My apologies to those that don't have the resources, I got it pretty good.

    Good news or bad news?

Good news, she is on her own 4 feet.

Bad news: this frame is a 94.5-97 years frame. Mine is a 1998.

Toyota switched to a longer leaf spring in 1998. The rear hanger mount is 3" further back.

    Dammit!

Looks like I'm on the hunt for some early, 1st gen leafs.

These need to be 51" between the spring eyes.

    I have 55" leafs.

Repositioning transmission cross member. Donor frame was a 5 speed, I have an automatic.

    Delay after delay...

Brackets removed and frame prepped for welding them in place.

Unfortunately, I have to drop the power train in to find the correct location.

X member is in place. The floor jack is supporting the x member and transmission.

    All welded in.

The writing is not indicating my weld passed, I wrote that so I didn't get the sides swapped by accident. It's the passenger side.

All painted up. Looks almost like nothing was done.

The only difference is the factory welds look like bird shit.
