    Welding in the top rail.

Adding a top rail and tieing it into the uprights really increases the trailer rigidity.

Looking good Kirk! Are you putting fenders on this one or nah?

    It will get fenders.

My next step is to clean up the rims and source some tires.

I thought I had trailer tires that would fit these hubs, but I only just found out that these are a queer 5 x 4.25. I have to use the original rims.

Once tires are installed I can fab up the fenders.

That brings me to my next hurdle.

I need to find a rim that uses this odd pattern.

    @RustyGreen

You know of a trailer axle hub that uses this weird bolt pattern size.

I need to check it closer as I only did a quick test fit, it could be 4.75 or similar.

If it is 5 x 4.25  you can buy new: https://nystire.com/5x425.html

Looks like it is also a common euro-car wheel, for domestics it looks like older 90's- 2000's Ford front wheel drives:

    Focus, Taurus, T-bird, Windstar

Truck got hauled out to the inspector.

As I said, there are peeps that really need their rides repaired more than I do. Got bumped to Monday for the inspection .

These decks are crap. They rot out much faster than the chassis wears.

I can find these mowers cheap, but the decks are always shot.

Toro uses the same deck, but just changes the suspension.

I'm grafting the mounting hardware from the crap deck to this new model.

Lots of plasma cutting and grinding to make it happen.

Welded on the chain supports. Lots of up and down with hoist to make sure they are welded in the proper position.

    Things look good.

As I said, I've never used one of these decks, but I have confidence that they will work quite well.waiting on belts before I can test run.

    Standby.
