I will be there. Gonna shoot for Wednesday evening, or Thursday at the latest. Gonna take the toy hauler and stay on the lakebed.

I must conquer turkey claw this year since it put me out of commission this past year.

I have the crawlbox sitting in the shed, waiting for install.

It was too much liquid courage and lack of proper planning that took me out. Completely forgot to air down the night I got there, and went on a midnight run after the last guy in our group got to camp. I bounced around until I landed on a nice rock to bend my rear driveshaft.

I hope you have an rv or toy hauler to stay in. Tenting it out there for that long can be brutal if/when the winds pick up. Almost no cell reception and it can be a 20 minute drive to the highway. Take plenty of beer, gas, sustenance, and spare parts.

Currently slowly rebuilding my front axle; hubs, knuckles, brakes, leafs, etc. Hopefully I can finally get around to installing the duals.

When the time gets closer, maybe a few of us will set up to meet and camp together.

Hells yeah, you're going to love it. @Ackrite Passed some good info for what to expect. Tent camping is doable, lots of people do it. For anyone going first time...Take extra of everything and a Shit load of Firewood. It's been getting down in the low 30's at night. Small convenience Stores/gas station 45 min drive.

Sounds fun, the duals will be a game changer. I'm not camping, I live in Hesperia and will be going home each night. Might crash in a buddies trailer one night tho:drunk:

As it turns out, I put in for PTO from 02/05-02/09, I have all week off. I would absolutely love to be there for the backdoor shootout, bouncers vs. crawlers, but it is on Monday night.

Anybody gonna be there all week? I am thinking about going on Monday to set up the toy hauler then staying the night for backdoor challenge, take off Tuesday and come back Thursday. It would be great if I can leave my stuff there with an established camp.

    Bump.

One month to go and my truck is almost ready to rock (crawl).

I am still hoping there will be somebody who I can meet up with to possibly park my toy hauler in their camp as well if I get there on Monday.

A very productive day today. Some friends came over to help knock out a bunch of shit on the truck while I smoked some ribs for them.

The truck is now about 90% done with all the necessary tasks and I can start to shift focus to misc. things like mounting light pods and smaller things.

KOH is coming up quickly. Cannot wait.

I am not sure, but I noticed that the challenge was not officially announced as being at backdoor. Not sure if that has changed.

What day are you heading out there?
