It's only a couple of months out! Who else is going?

 

Will be there for sure! Plan to arrive Friday and staying till Sunday morning.

 

As of now, we plan on going.

 

I am going to head down on Wednesday and stay through Sunday.

 

We're planning on heading down Wed or Thur, not sure. And then head home on Sunday.

 

All I care about is the 4600 (Fri) and 4400 (Sat) race.

 

Same unfortunately I might not be able to make it on time for the 4600 race. Any TW meet n greet, any vhf frequency to talk amongst?

 

I think it would be awesome if we can get some sort of TW meet and greet planned for down there. Would be cool to caravan with others from our assorted areas. With @10YSON headed down from NorCal on Wed I can try and swing that day as well.

Finishing up my LT this month by any means necessary

 

All I have are some rugged handhelds but I usually camp at a spot where I get cell service. I have a pin saved in OnX, I'll post it here later. If anyone wants to caravan or camp at the spot with me you're all welcome!

Hopefully I can start and finish mine before Hammers.

(at least start and finish the first phase of the front anyway... lol)

 

I solo’d my Solo Motorsports Front end build (Pun very much intended) and it took forever but I went full dive into rebuilding Diff and custom bump mounts and such. If you have a couple extra hands and a clue what your doing (i didnt) its should be pretty quick!

The hoop for the second shock mount. Is that Solo? I don't see it listed on their page.

I've seen Total Chaos and JD Fab... but I looked at couldn't find it at Solo.

 

I'm almost certain it is TC, I just called up solo and asked them to add everything I need to one order and they were able to get all the pieces packaged up and sent to me.
Even got my Deavers, Spring mounts and shackles through them Also TC.

I don't think I'm going to run bypasses to begin with. But I think that shock hoop would add a bunch of reinforcement to the coil bucket.

I'm going to check in to getting a set on the way.

Ordered our tickets plus camping

 

It's probably too late now but just so you know next year... you only need the camping pass for RVs or trailers, if you're using your RTT or a ground tent all you need is a ticket for each person in your truck.

In past years I've camped out in the desert approx halfway between backdoor and chocolate thunder. Thursday night at backdoor is pretty wild and worth seeing in person and chocolate thunder is my favorite spot to watch the race from.

The photo in my sig was taken at the campsite and there's plenty of room out there if anyone else wants to set up camp in the area. It's far enough from hammer town to actually get some sleep and there is LTE service there as well. You will need 4wd to get to that campsite but it's not technical just sandy.

Right on. Wasn't sure, and it wasn't that expensive so I just bought a pass. I guess I'll have it if someone we know needs it.
