Hi, My name is Nick. Since I was 16 all I have ever owned has been Toyotas. Here is my build page of my 2016 TRD Sport along with a little history of all my Toyotas. Enjoy!

It starts off when I was 16 and purchased this 1998 Toyota Tacoma. It was a 4 cylinder, manual trans, with 226k miles on it. Didn't like the color but it ran like an absolute champ. My Toyota loyalty was born! Sadly, she went to the crusher because of the buy-back. The frame had a hole in it the size of a football! I got well over KBB for it and purchased...





This 2003 Tacoma Limited 5 speed! Again, another tank. I beat the crap out of this one. This truck never let me sit and just an overall solid truck. Tons of memories in this thing! I didn't do any mods to it except painting the wheels black. Typical high school mall crawler. Bought it with 84k miles and sold it with 138k.



I eventually sold that truck to a member on this forum and ended up buying a 2006 Tacoma with only 68k miles on it. I was still by far not a fan of the color red but I got a deal on it that I absolutely could not pass up. After I got the frame replaced by Toyota I got an OME lift. It was a beautiful truck and I had planned to keep it until it's death many years from now.





Unfortunately, in May of 2017 a drunk driver hit me on the highway causing me to spin sideways, hit the guardrail and flip down the highway 5-6 times. Thankfully, my girlfriend and I were relatively okay. The truck on the other hand, obviously, was gone. RIP Taco #3.




Finally, that leads us to here - My 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport! Since the day after my accident I was trying to find the perfect truck. I wanted a 2012-2015 MGM 6 Speed but I could not find one ANYWHERE. Okay.. I was a little too picky. I found this 2016 by luck and got a deal I absolutely could not pass up. Never was a huge fan of the 3rd Gens at first but in person it grew on me very quickly.

The day I brought her home -

 

First mod you ask? None other than this little guy. Got it out of a vending machine many years ago and has been in every Tacoma.

I had him hanging on my cigarette lighter the night of my accident. Next day I go to get my things out of my truck - STILL hanging on there. Unbelievable.



A few days later I got my tint done. 50% Windshield and 20% sides. I have astigmatism and the windshield really helps with the glare at night of oncoming traffic. Had the same thing on my 2006 so I really missed having it while I tried to find another

 

Fun day at the Delaware Water Gap. Lots of one lane dirt roads that lead to no where. In PA it can sometimes be hard to find secluded places that aren't private property. My girlfriend and I's favorite place to spend the day driving around!

That accident looks like it was a really shitty experience , one that nobody wants to have !
Glad you and the gf are ok.

Red .... is the most accident prone vehicle.
White .... the safest
Don't remember how other colors rated , but your ( new ) truck looks good

I'll Never drive or boat red again ! Lol !!

 

Lol! I always heard red was the most popular to get pulled over, but not for getting in accidents! Hopefully that's my last one. It was one wild, scary ride.

Little bit. It's not too bad. With the bumper it will ride better. Plus, it hasn't been broken in yet.

I am doing well! Been busy with work and other stuff but the truck is great. Haven't done too much to it since it is winter and no I didn't get the SSO bumper yet.. Probably in the spring that will come! How are you doing?

AOAA Trip was a blast! First time off-roading. Think I did pretty good but all the thanks to @Skierrichy, @Bastek , Russell and Mike (forgot their usernames) for guiding me and giving me tips.
