There is a great all aluminum Koyo radiator for 1st Gens, part #VH010513.

I have a 2.7L, and the Koyo is listed as V6 only. What would be the difference between the two? The radiator supports are identical. Does the 2.7 lack the fan clearance for this radiator?

The OEM radiator from Toyota (#16410-0C032) shows it is the same for V6 & 4 cyl.:

    "Tacoma. 4wd. 3.4L, manual trans. Tacoma. 2wd. 6 cylinder. 2.4 & 2.7L, 2.7L, 4wd, oem, manual trans."

Has anybody used one of these in a 2.7L built from 95-04? Anybody have an idea of what kind of modifications it would take?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Difference between 5vz and 3rz is the core overall size. 3rz core will be smaller. They both will have the same mounting location. Will benefit to run a v6 if you want that extra cooling option in your 3rz.
