No. Just weirdness at work. The geologist I was working for called me, he was really positive, told me I was doing a good job and he was coming out to the field and was looking forward to meeting me. Hung up the phone, and not even a minute later my boss called and told me that very same guy had called him and asked for a new consultant. So I pretty much got run off the rig I was working on, in kind of a shady way. Why tell me I'm doing fine if you've already told my boss you want a new consultant?

Yeah this gets stranger and stranger. Spineless guy's boss had emailed me that I did a good job (shop talk: when I landed the curve the beds thinned when we were already at 70 degrees. I talked to directional but they couldn't slide up enough to compensate so we landed below target. Not really my fault but that was the justification to run me off). So he- spineless guy's boss- just called me to ask why I left the well. I guess he had been under the impression that either my boss had moved me or I had asked to leave.

Is that guy seriously so spineless he won't even tell his boss he ran me off? It's making me a lot happier about the whole situation! Hahaha

LOL DD was actually one of the better ones I've worked with.

But yes, I'm on a new rig now, for another operator. I'm working nights because it was the only spot available for the time being, which is fine. I get all the pay and none of the responsibilities of working days ;)
