That adds up to 245 watts (5 x 35), over 20 amps (watts/volts)... yes, use a relay and a switch rated for 30 amps (with a fuse to match)... or two switches.

They are 35 watts, and you are a 12 volt system... so 35/12= 2.9 amps (but I am not an electrician, so I will stand corrected if I am wrong).

Correct, if you are only installing two per switch (70 watts), no relay needed.

So this is an install related question- Where the eff did ya'll put the wire thru from the cab to the engine compartment?? The one bundle that is right there at the driver left foot just doesn't seem like there is any space there.
This is the first time I've run wire thru front he cab to the engine like this...so I have no clue what is easiest/best.

    Thanks!!!

You found the spot; it's where that bundle goe through the firewall.

But the bundle itself is full.

So poke a new hole through the fat gasket that surrounds the bundle.

I like to go from inside the cab out , because whatever you are poking through can end up poking into a LOT of tiny wires under the dash if you go from the engine side.

Efff...Will a wire coat hanger work or is there a better trick? And does the hole need to be sealed with something after I'm done poking??

How do you guys recommend me running four of these lights to one switch? Power to fuse to relay then to the load and switch?
