20210527_194632.jpg My brand new 2021 taco goes in this Saturday for its first krown treatment. It'll have about 350 miles on it. Got a dealer not far from my house.

Have my truck 7 years now and will be taking it in for it's 7th spraying in a couple of months. Truck has 52,000 miles on it and sits outside in all kinds of weather and no rust.

Here is my 2010, which has been Krowned each year since new. Took the opportunity recently to touck up some small rust spots (typically at the welds), remove rust and repaint, while installing new rear suspension. For a 11 year old truck that is parked outside and is exposed to salt in winter (Canada) it is doing pretty good. 20210605_170438.jpg

    I got Krowned today!
    Prepping the truck, taillights out.
    20210619_090952.jpg
Spraying the tailgate, massive vapor coming out the other side.
    20210619_091433.jpg
Same thing when he did the bed from the tailight openings, massive vapor coming out of every hole.
    20210619_092118.jpg
He ran that rod in and out several times, great coverage.
    20210619_092159.jpg
Did all of the doors the same way
    20210619_092340.jpg

    20210619_092344.jpg
He did the hood and inside the engine bay.
    20210619_093413.jpg
After doing inside the frame rails he then brought out the spray gun and flooded everything! He even did inside the hitch. He thoroughly did the rocker panels and the door pillars.
    20210619_095157.jpg
Then it got coated in foam and scrubbed down with a brush. And then some spray wax.
    20210619_095827.jpg
Right now it's at home dripping, and I mean dripping! It'll be awhile before I can wax it until it stops dripping. I was blown away when he said it has a 50 year warranty as long as you bring it back every year. I won't be alive another 50 years, lol.

I thought it was well worth it. I could not have done as good a job myself, he had the tools to fog the insides of the frame and rockers and everything else. He got to places on the vehicle that I could not.

It's been 5 days and she's still drippin. Waiting for it to quit so I can wash and wax it and silicone the rubber seals. It marks its spot everywhere I park it, lol.

A few yrs from now you will be so happy with yourself for doing this as soon as you bought the truck.
I did the same, the day I brought it home from the dealer I sprayed it with fluid film. It was actually a little tense to pull the trigger on the undercoating gun the first time on a frame with only 12 miles on it. I knew it would never look the same. To this day no rust. Well worth a few drips now, it will pay dividends for yrs to come. Just keep up with it every fall.

I switched from Krown to Rust Check because their substance is alot thicker and does not drip.

    Myself,
I don't think it matters if you got Krown, or RustCheck. Just as long as its "goopy" and you do it every year.

2009, 422,000km's, lives on the east coast of Canada and Krowned every year. Everything is still minty under the truck. I can't touch it unless I want to look like I've been wrenching on cars for a week straight with no showers, but every single nut and bolt have come off for me with zero issues since I've owned it in 2016.

The "goop" works, just need to keep it up

Mine has finally quit dripping so it got a good wash, a wax, and all the rubber seals got wiped down with silicone. All the areas under the tailgate, doors, and hood got wiped down where the oil was dripping out the drain holes. Very effective internal coverage.

Took my 2014 Tacoma in for it's 7th Krown application today.....frame looks great and NO rust. Washed the truck thoroughly when I got home and it looks good.
