with the new brute force hybrid I have 30 inches of room to work with in the grill hoop. I am debating on putting two big rounds or four 6" rounds. Ive only ever has 6" rounds. I like the Hella 4000s.... Not sure yet.

do some fine brush work with the red like you want in some automotive touchup paint with a nice paint brush. Then spray clear coat rustoleum over the whole thing in a satin or matt finish. Or just leave the color out and just clear coat to protect from rust.

Wanted to upgrade to a 4x4, hated the Tacoma drivers seat, always ended up having to pile all my stuff in the back seat because it rains so much, drove a 4th gen 4runner before the Tacoma, test drove the new 2015's and absolutely fell in love with them. Made so much more sense for a $36k+ vehicle than the Tacoma did.

Ill think of something.... thanks for the suggestion!

I want one really bad. They are hard to come by used for the long bed though. I will just keep an eye out and hopefully one drops in my lap. Went price a new one the other day and........ wow! Not paying 1500-2000 for a shell. To much. So until then i will just rock the rack.

The tacoma's driver seat does leave something to be desired but.... i can live with it. You didnt make a bad choice with the 4 runner though. I was torn between them myself. At the end of the day i went with the tacoma for 3 reasons..... 1) at the time i had a big, dumb, filthy, happy German shepherd who single handily destroyed the interior of my previous SUV so.... tacoma. 2) The 4runners were a bit more than i was ready to pay. My truck off the lot ended up being 26k or so.... couldnt get a 4 runner close to that. 3) Manual transmission.... enough said.

I really like your 4 runner though dude. And that color you got is sweet. Im always wrenching in my garage (aka hiding from husband chores :D) By all means if you see me in the garage with my music on come on over and i will more than likely put a beer in your hand and put you to work! See you around

I appreciate it man, in fact just got some new shocks in for my lift so I will hopefully be tinkering with mine soon. If I didn't drive as much as I do for work, meaning 3 plus hours at a time, I would have probably stayed with a Tacoma and gotten a softopper or something for the rear. A simple elevation adjustment would save the Tacoma for me.

BTW, SOS makes a bedrack that will fit over a soft top on your bed if you want to keep the rack.

Sweet, because I don't. I was going to work my way up to getting everything. I still need to decide on rear springs, then buy the front and rear springs. Not sure If I am going up to a 285 tire or not. I need to eventually buy all the tools, but nice to know I can get some help and won't need them all before I can install it. Do you have a spring compressor?

I do not unfortunately. I think they are pretty cheap though. What are they used for? I didnt need them for mine.

To disassemble or assemble the front coilover. They aren't expensive, just not an often used tool. Still much cheaper than paying for the assembly.

i dk if you bought them but if you order from certain companies they will pre-assemble them. I ordered from wheeler's offroad and they sent them to me already assembled.
