Not getting the windoors. The sliders are fine for my pups, but crawling into the bed for every little thing is a total PITA.

LOVE the CX. I think it looks better then the Z, honestly.

Sweet dude thanks. My cap should be in in a week or so hopefully. Another reason i got the windoors is so i can reach into the bed without opening up the rear spare swing out. if i need something quick i can just reach in. I know if i would have bought used i would want to add the windoors. They are $350 a windoor after the fact though.........:eek::eek:

So if i would have bought a used cap......$650-700
    Had it painted to match.........................$250-400
    Added the windoors...............................$700
    New weather stripping............................$30
    TOTAL FOR USED...................................$1600-1850

This is why i went new. Im glad i did..... my bank account may not be so glad but whatever... make money to spend it right

Is that $350 a windoor for glass with slider? I gotta find out how much for a solid fiberglass windoor  praying it's cheaper or I'm giving up the windoor idea. I'll just have to grab beer on the trail by opening the tire gate

That is for the solid glass windoor. The windoor with the slider was $425 or so per side. I didnt look into the fiberglass ones. Mount a small basket of sorts on the swing out in place of a jerry can carrier to hold a small cooler

Ive thought of doing something like this......

not just cooler stuff but anything that would easily be accessed threw the windoor.. My biggest fear is getting frustrated opening swing out to access the bed. But I do dig the rear cooler basket idea on the swingout  might have to look into that. For now I got the front cooler rack

Got mine for a great price and color matched for free. Still does NOT have the one other feature I want. WINDOORS> When The money is right, I will sell my current one and get one with the windoors.

My issue is the short bed had limited options from various manufacturers. I have seen some Australian manufacturers that have nice indoors in a low profile handle as to not get sheared off in the 'bush'. A feature that makes all the sense in the world. Something that i would be interested in.

Glad you got what you want. Looks great. Now to get a bed/ camper light kit, prop switch, and a rack for it and your cab ;)
