I usually try and be quick when i have to do it at night. Or close the garage. Grinder is my weapon of choice most times though :anonymous:

I saw in someone else build that you said you was going to 35's soon are you going to keep your OME lift or change to a different suspension setup?

On your CX cap, why did you go with the double t-handles on the back door?
Thinking you will say - for added security, but thought I'd ask.
(I just ordered the same cap yesterday)

I wish dude!!! I dont know if my rig is quite ready for moab..... but soon!

There are a couple things that need to take place before i got to 35's......
    1) Regear... 4.88 most likely
    2) ARB air lockers with on board air system
    3) Cab chop
    4) Fender trim
    5) Upper control arms

But i do not plan on changing out the OME. I have been very happy with it and it is practically maintenance free. I do want to change out the rear shocks though. The rear OME shocks are 13-34 if i remember correctly and i wold like to go with a longer travel shock to take advantage of having flipped my shackles. To do this I will prob go with the BAMF shock relocate and some longer shocks. But the OME dakars and front coils are here to stay.

I did the double T handle on the rear just for a simpler system. The single has cables and latches. The guy at the camper place recommended that if i dont mind having to open two that i should go that route because if the cable malfunctions then i wont be able to open the rear. However i do plan on mounting a single t handle in the middle just to have a central place to pull from when i have things in my hands. I have found some mock T handles that can be mounted to the center so I can open/close the rear with just one hand.

My new Leer 100R comes standard with the double T handles. Having had both types locking mechanisms previously on other shells I prefer it that way. Yes it takes a bit more time to open but is much more functional in the long run. Kind of like OME suspension as mentioned above. It may not be flashy and have all the gadgets but it is certainly less maintenance.

Needed to build a set of hi lift jack mounts for the bed....... Turned out pretty good.

Harbor Freight welder does alright....... nothing a grinder cant fix.

I may end up shorting them up so i can put my carpeted platform back in. It is super solid though. Made out of 1/4" plate steel and six 1/2" bolts. Its not going anywhere.

Nice work on those hi lift mounts!! I need to make myself a set too. I was thinking either those or weld some bolts onto my bed rack and hang it from there. Nevertheless, yours look good. Sweet truck by the way!!!
