If you plan to wheel it and want go up and down articulation use the stock wheel spacing. I stuff my tires all the time wheeling so stock wheels work best and most of the guys I wheel with use stock wheels for this reason. That's why i said stay with stock. I'm talking from a non DD point of view to stick with stock. DD if you want a softer ride stick with 16's. That extra sidewall will give a smoother ride. 17's more tire size choices but you can get 33's in 16 and 17 no problem.

Yeah I'm going to take the advice of going Sequoia 17" steelies, mainly for the many tire offerings in that size for 33's.

So few things I forgot to mention on here that I just remembered now that I'm leaving class.

The suspension is shot, well coils specifically.

I've got nasty lean, similar to Taco lean, as the space between the fender and front driver is smaller by almost an inch compared to the passenger side.

Also, the bushings on the steering damper are shot so I'll need a new one. Thinking I should get it now before even bothering with new suspension.

 

OP needs a welded rear dif, and 33s

The OME steering damper is a good deal. Bushings for the arms and such, well you lemme know what you need, they're not fun and not cheap

 

Recommend you get a steam cleaner for when you redo the seats, if you are keeping the original foam. The steam helps to renew the foam shape and will make it fill out the seats again to their original glory. I did this on the 4runner when I replaced the seat covers and it worked amazingly well and is still holding up. Also in the Subie with the original cloth seat covers.

This is the steam cleaner I have. Very important to NOT go over 3/4 full on the water tank and if you stop for a minute or 2, pull the trigger with the nozzle at the floor as the steam in the hose will have cooled and straight water will come out for a sec until you get fresh steam again.

Another bonus of the steam clear is it kills virtually any bacteria or grossness that might be hanging around still. Doesn't work very well with grease but most other dirt or grossness, it's great.

But it's funny you mentioned the steam cleaner in general; I was considering one for the carpet.

I've got a nice handheld Bissell stain remover and it works amazingly well. Could use it to treat some areas and use that steam cleaner you linked for the rest.

 

Steam does a great job at restoring foam, like seat foam, to it's original shape. This isn't a carpet steam cleaner, no vacuum, it just shoots steam out. Great for general cleaning tho.

I can still make use of it that's for sure; just me making more excuses to buy stuff

Maybe I'll give it a try on the carpet in the 4Runner. That carpet is absolutely disgusting. Probably try hitting it with the steam cleaner and then follow that up with the spot cleaner. Steam should loosen most of the crap and the spot cleaner will scrub it up and suck out the grossness. Maybe.

Oh yeah, get Weathertech floor mats if they are available for the LC. They are the best floor mats ever. I have them in the 4Runner and the Subie. Also my daughter's Tacoma, she loves them.
