    Hey All,

Anyone up for a mod day around the end of May? In time for the RRG meet?

I'm planning on having a full suspension re-vamp ready to install but will need some extra hands and probably a few tools (I've got a bunch, but not everything).

I figured we could have a thread dedicated to planning this days if we want to get a few guys and vehicles together to wrench

    I'll bring beer/bourbon/meat/grill/whatever.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like fun to me. I live in close to Cincinnati, have a 2 car garage...but it has a damn lally column in the middle (haven't gotten around to relocating it yet).

    Thanks guys!

I’ve got a two car garage but just moved so it’s a work in progress. I can probably get it cleaned up a bit.

I don’t have a jack or stands, that’s my biggest hurdle right now. Between the move and the truck I’m trying not to buy a bunch more stuff, haha!

So, like I mentioned, I need to do a full suspension install, probably replace brake lines and flush/bleed (I’ve never done that). Honestly, I’ll be looking for some help and guidance. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty, I’m just a bit green on auto-related stuff

At 10 mins down the road I'm pretty much 100% in. I can bring a bunch of beer or a bunch of Tacoma wrenching experience but not both lol

Sounds great, I appreciate the offers to help.

Let me get a firm timeline on having everything ready and I’ll follow up.

Beer is on me, and I won’t even make you drink the gluten free shit I have to drink...

You already order a suspension OP? Best advice I can give you is to figure out what you need to mod before you mod it. Otherwise you'll end up spending an absolute ton of money.

We will have plenty of gently/not modded trucks at the RRG meet, and your truck WILL surprise you bone stock. I'd spend money up front on good tires, because that will limit you far more on the trails we're going to ride than the factory suspension.

Great advice, and I plan on getting out a bit before making the purchase.

I put some Cooper ST Maxx on there already.

I’m planning on being at RRG unless the potential date change rules me out. I might try to get in on something before.

That said, I do want a lift, whether I need it immediately or not. I also subscribe to the “buy once, cry once” philosophy so if I do suspension it won’t be something cheap I’m going to upgrade a year or two later.

Whelp, guess it's time for 37s!

Dunno if you're aware, and it's kind of short notice, but most of the 'core' tri-state wheeling group that is going to be at the official RRG meet is also going this weekend to camp/wheel. Would be a good time to see where you're at, and meet all of us if you can make it.

I was not aware at all! I need to pay attention to the Ohio forum.

I’ll do my best to make it out for a day, I’ll be totally new and unprepared but it would be good to meet you guys and give the truck workout.
