Just get the Harbor Freight compressors. I used a set when I needed to adjust coil orientation on the shock due to UCA hitting them at full droop. This was done on the truck, wheel off, on a jack stand, in a lightly sloped gravel driveway. Then I got SPC uppers a while after that.

But, I didn't die. Just be deliberate about what your doing, take your time. Don't use an impact to "hurry" the compressor, just use a 1/2" ratchet. Keep an eye on the hooks that go over the coil, and watch for any slippage, stop and restart if they do. I would think with your fancy shocks, you could get the front wheels off the ground, and use a spanner to crank on them without too much issue, and forgo the spring compressors.

EDIT: Somewhat in line with @Bandido, I got them compressed, threw a ratchet strap on them for extra "safety", turned the coil where it needed to be, then cranked the compressor a touch and removed the strap, eased back down the compressor.

This. +1 for ratchet straps and a cheater while on the vehicle.

Just realized you're long bed, not sure how I missed that :burp:
I take back what I was saying about the skids. You will want them (and the full front lift) when you high center where the shorter wheelbase hooligans slide right through. Probably... Maybe. Somewhere there is a pic of @mwc273 holding up like 20 rigs while he takes a break laying trail limo frame.

It's odd in my experience on this topic. After I got my mid skid, I don't high center as much, and I have the same wheelbase as a DCSB. That was before the gears and locker, I think. 255 KM2s definitely helped!

Also yes. Plus driver mod kicks in somewhere mid modding.

The long wheelbase was a huge consideration in buying what I did

Just don't get too attached to the rear bumper and trailer hitch (if you have one). I smack my ass a lot less often after removing the hitch, no trailer, no need for it.
Sliders and skids are absolutely needed to skim over obstacles.

No spontaneous self delete mod yet. I’m sure it will come some day and give me an excuse for a high clearance.

Finally consolidated my tools in a new cabinet. Added some 1/2” drive stuff.

Feels good to empty 3 tool bags and 1 tool box. This cart is a steal at $189

Those HF toolboxes are the shit man! If I didn't have an old Craftsman, I'd get one. For the money and features on these, sore peter.

But will it fit in the back of your truck for trail repairs?
