Update: 5/2/2021 - This truck is now for sale. Sale thread here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2015-tacoma-dclb-4x4-montana.718495/

Thought I'd finally start my own "Build Thread" if for any other reason to remind myself over time how far my Tacoma has come. I purchased my 2015 Tacoma DCLB V6 SR5 4x4 new in February 2015. Little did I know buying a Super White Tacoma would require me to become a member of the "Storm Trooper" cult on Tacoma World!

I've been amazingly blessed to be able to transform this truck from stock to the form it's in now. I'm hoping it will get me outdoors more into the reaches of Montana where I live.

I like the black grille on white. Perhaps the TRD Pro headlights would be nice looking too. Since you got the black Depo tail lights. So the Spintech is purely a muffler swap? No tailpipes upgrade? Or is that another part they make? Very nice truck tho!

Thanks! Yes the Spintech was a muffler swap only. They don't make kits for anything less than 8 cylinders.

I want to do the BHLM one of these days. Think it will look much better.

I really like your N-Fab nerf bars but I just can't figure out how they can justify $450 price tag plus shipping. Does anybody know any alternate companies that produce similar design nerf bars for a more reasonable price? Hey guys, it's just two pipes, bent at the ends with step brackets.

Thanks Kyitty for your quick response. When you search nerf bars online at ebay or Amazon you quickly see that the more traditional models are all under $200. I guess these look more "off road" similar to sliders. I still don't get the pricing. The N-Fabs are getting closer to affordability on Amazon. I probably really mean "justifiability" if there is such a word.

I get it! You get what you pay for though. I kind of wish I had gone for the three inch model with the third step for access to the bed.

But I'm also wishing I had done Rock sliders as they give you door ding protection because of how they stick out.

Nice man!!! Love the white. Did you keep your stock head unit? If so, how does it sound? I want to do the same set up as far as the two subs behind the seat, but also change out the door speakers. But wanted to retain my stock head unit

My ear for sound isn't the greatest. But I personally think it sounds just fine. I've seen many on TW disagree on how the factory head unit sounds though. I wanted to keep the factory unit for its backup cam screen, telephony, and XM. I know I can get aftermarket's to do that but I can't see alternating $800 to do that.

Yea I had a full sound system In my ranger and miss it lol. That's my biggest thing, I want to retain all of that and the steering wheel controls. Plus I haven't seen a aftermarket one look as good as the stock in my opinion

Indeed I did! Another TW member showed me which eBayer to buy them from. Look up user "2004momo". That's who I got mine from.

I also did the chrome on my grill and the Toyota emblem white.

I'd love to put one on! Tried to pull off the factory grille a while back. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get the lower clips off so I hit it with plastidip instead. LOL Honestly I would have ordered from you if I could have figured that out. I'm afraid of breaking the clips off (or worse breaking where they clip into).

Waiting for some skid plates to come in right now. So the grille might have to wait a couple/few paychecks! But I'm still wanting white!

@HomerTaco - Since you're the grill guy - Any advice on how to get the lower clips to pop loose? It sounds like it should be so simple... yet I can't seem to figure it out. lol

When I pulled mine off to plastidip it white I used a flathead screwdriver where the clips are at. kinda popped them loose and then had to pull the grille firmly and it came right out. just take your time with it and it will come right out.

Literally can remove the grill with just a Phillips & flat head screw driver...
    1. Pop the two plastic fasteners on top on both corners by the headlights.
    2. Pull the two screws on the two upper top mounts.
    3. The grill snaps in from the front so simply push down on a few of those tabs you see on the bottom and pull the grill out towards you.
    4. grill's out.
