For my bumpers and slides I've been using Rustoleum matte black. Seems to hold up pretty good.

Glad the bumper went to a good home!

Edit: you might want to do a test on a spot that's inconspicuous just in case its not a perfect match, otherwise you might have to run a light coat over the entirety of the bumper.

Take old fender brace, flip it upside down, bend it a little, drill hole through fender, and bolt it up. Boom, new fender support.

Aren't you supposed to turn the snorkel hood around in snow? I'm not criticizing, I'm just trying to learn more about snorkels. :spy:

Or is that why you put "unexpected" snow storm?

If you turn the snorkel around it will create a negative air pressure essiantly cutting air off from the engine. I don't know too much about snorkels but they might have a drain at the low to to keep water from pooling.

That is what some say, my experience says otherwise.

Also a little snow isn't a big deal, you have to get your air filter pretty damn wet before you have any troubles. Ask me how I know...

Up on mt rose hwy if it was snowing real bad I'd throw a bag over mine and turn it around, then in the morning I'd clear the snow from all around it, then leave it facing the rear and pull the bag and go.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you can only turn the safari around and not have bad things happen. The airflow has to stay facing forward.

From what I've read, leave the Airflow forward if you are exceeding 10mph (which we weren't due to the terrain so I could have). Like Max said, it will take a bit of water for it to start choking at which point I'd just swap it out with my backup. Oh wait, that was sitting in my garage :D.

I'm curious to see if it ever shits out this winter. Time will tell.

I'm curious if drilling a drain at the low point in the engine bay to divert water from the filter would do anything
