    In response to PM:

    These?

If so, they came on the truck, but could be easily installed using heavy duty hardware mounted D hooks. Home depot should have all you need for a similar set-up.

If you are referring to something else let me know. :notsure:

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I'm just wondering what type of hardware I should use to screw into the bedside. Some self-tapping screws I guess.

Nah, I'd use something you can bolt from the rear, just line up the hooks, mark, and drill. If use 1 1/2", 1/4-5/16" threaded bolts.

You'll want backing plates on the back of the bolts to keep the bed from cracking I think. Would be a 2 person install, one to tighten from inside the bed, one holding the nut inside the fender well

I'm curious whats behind the stock ones. If they reinforced them at all or not. I would be worried about putting to much stress on them and ripping them out.

Yep, me too. Only looking to hang about 10lb off of it so hopefully with some backing it'll be alright.

Used washers on both sides, turned out super solid.

Thanks. Still kicking around the idea of putting a tank under the bed with compressor in the engine bay. But I want leather first so I gotta save :D

I want leather too! Ugh. I have to keep reminding myself I'm two years behind you.

Thought I would share some of my pics from my trip up to Knott Creek last week. We tried to stay off paved roads as much as possible and did a pretty good job. By the half way point of the trip I had racked up about 190 miles on dirt. Unfortunately the hub on our ranger trailer decided to grenade, so we had to disassemble and drive 60 miles back to Winnemucca to get a replacement. We got it back together but my buddy who was pulling it wanted to go paved and so it was mostly highway/freeway miles the rest of the way. As is every time, such a fun trip. I can't wait for our NV expo trip this May!

how do you like the gearing with your 315's? I have 35's and can feel the loss of low end juice. Do the 4.56 gears put you close to stock and or give you that extra low end?

I love the gearing. Definitely gives you the extra power the 315s drain away. Before I had them I was like meh but now that I've experienced them I think they're a must.

So I'm going to start collecting the parts for my dual battery setup over the next few weeks. First item I'm looking at is a dual battery tray. There are two in particular that I've been looking at:

    ATO @ $125

    and

    Columbia Overland @ $165

ATO's seems pretty no nonsense just shipping as bare steal while COs is aluminum and then coated with rubberized material. The CO one also seems like it might be a little more secure based on the top part having more coverage/contact area.

Anyone out there use either of these products and have any feedback? Are there other products out there that are better suited that I've missed?

    Thanks for the input!
