Your speedo gets effed by the larger circumference of the tires.

manual's speedo gets f'd by the tire sizes and the re-gearing

my gearing messed with my speedo more than my tires....i'm still over torqued with 35s & 4.56...i'd rather have it that way tho

speedo still shows faster than my actual speed

Yeah mine seemed the opposite, I need to bust out the SG/GPS and see how much I'm off. I did pay attention to the mile markers last time I was on the highway and for each mile marker I'm registering 1.1 on the odo.

yea..if your truck is reading 1.1 but you went 1...then your speedo will show faster speeds than actual

i'm around .95 of what the truck says... so truck would say i went 100 miles but i really only went 95..so roughly going 70 per my truck speedo, i'm going around 66mph actual speed

i use my gps to calculate my distance calibration on my ultraguage

Does that affect the odometer? As in over time your truck will say it has way more miles on it than it actually does?

Yeah I heard about that on the manuals... I think I would get a hypertech for that since it lets you adjust for gears and tire size. That much off would piss me off...

The lady and I went out exploring this weekend. Went down to Como ghost town which isn't much of a town with only one standing object but it was still cool to check out the old mining equipment. All in all a gorgeous day in the Pine Nuts.

So just to be clear, that means you OD will display less miles than you have actually driven?

Correct for him, not for me. For each mile marker I drive I get 1.1 on the odo.

Yes but the tests have been less than scientific. Scenario:

    Driving down the freeway
Pull up next to my buddy
    "hey, how fast we going?"
    "about 75"
My speed is showing about 70

Like I've said, I really should bust out the GPS or hook up the SG but just not something top of mind. My mpg suck and I know it and I don't tend to drive super aggressive. But I should so I can definitively answer the question.

I sold my 48" hi lift to another member at our Thursday meet night last week and its replacement showed up yesterday. Moved it to the passenger side rail to accommodate the longer size. So shiny!

Maxtrax will get mounted in the old location tonight. I tapped some square nuts to 7/16" last night in preparation. I'm going to run a 7/16" bolt through the square nut to run in the bed rail with a washer and locking nut on the outside to secure it. This will act as the post for the Maxtrax to hang off and then I'm going to run another washer and wingnut to secure them.
