There probably isn't a Trojan on it. I ordered one a couple of years ago and have used it and have never had any issues. False positive on the Trojan...

I agree. I am using Version 9.30.002 and it connects to all three of my Toyota's. I have it loaded on an old XP laptop that never sees an internet connection, and has no virus protection. If you want the flexibility to diagnose and change customizable functions on your Toyota, this is the way to go.

When you guys use techstream and do the DLC checker ....does it show K-line support? I got one of those Chinese clones...claims to have firmware 2.0.4 and K-line support, but I only see the firmware 2.0.4 is true. K-line support doesn't work for me...not sure if I am missing anything not having K-line support versus CAN bus. I wish I can figure out a way to turn off the buzzer when you switch the key to ignition and no seat belt in connected yet. It works after the initial beeping.

FYI, it does work with 64 bit windows 10 as well...but had to do some steps.... not sure if there any techstream experts here to help resolve.... I pay more for "mangoose" or the real mongoose version if it was about $100... can't seem to know what is a good clone or bad clone of the 3 in 1 MINI VCI Xhorse.

Don't even waste your time with the mini disc. 3 out of 4 are worthless. Everything you need can be found on the 'net.

I've had my TS clone for 4 years of so. Some real good info on the TundraTalk.net site. Everything you need can be found in the thread over there. It is long, but there are some very sharp cats' that have done the heavy lifting for us already.

I still need to get TS program on to a 64 bit machine. Here is a recent write up. You will most likely have to become a member to get access to the cloud drives, but that's pretty easy.

For you non-technical types who are trying to install TechStream on a 64 bit system I created an installer to eliminate 90% of the headache.

Follow the instructions below and do not open TechStream until told to do so.

1.) Download this zip file and extract the contents. If you don't know what that means please Google it.
(The zip contains two files: v9.30.002 of the TechStream software and a setup.exe file)

2.) Run the TechStream Installer and wait until it completes then close the installer dialog.

3.) Run setup.exe and wait until it completes then close the installer dialog.
(Setup.exe will create necessary directories, copy needed files and add required Windows registry entries)

4.) When you click finish on the setup.exe dialog it will trigger a second installer called INI_Copy.exe. Run that executable and wait until it completes then close the dialog.

At this point everything should be setup except that Windows is not going to recognize the MINI-VCI cable when you plug it in so do the following.

1.) Turn power in Tundra to on but do not start the Tundra
2.) Plug your MINI-VCI into the Tundra and then into the laptop
3.) You should see Windows attempt to install the drivers but fail
4.) Open Device Manager and look for the problematic device.
5.) Right click on the device, choose Update Driver then navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\XHorse Electronics\MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS" and tell Windows to look in subfolders
6.) When I tested this, as soon as Windows installed the driver it Device Manager refreshed and listed a second issue, just repeat step 5 to resolve this
7.) Open TechStream and all should be good to go

I bundled the installer with version 9.30.002 of TechStream since I actually tested everything on a clean Windows 7 64 Bit machine with that version, however, if you wish to run a newer version of TechStream then the installer will likely work as well. If you use this installer and later decide to upgrade your TechStream version then I recommend doing so in this order:

    1.) Uninstall TechStream
2.) Run Setup.exe again and choose the uninstall option
3.) Install newer version of TechStream
    4.) Run setup.exe installer

I got TS 10.20.030 on both Windows 7 and 10 64 bit. With windows 10, you can't check the firmware version of the mini VCI. The biggest issue with 64 bit is that it doesn't install the drivers, so you have to create the "C:\Program Files (x86)\XHorse Electronics\MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS directory and extract the mini vci driver. That link helped me some.

TS is really clunky program... I see the TPMS tire pressure on my truck, but there's only 4 there...no spare...also said TPMS is disabled... Bought my truck used for 2014, but don't know if dealer disable TPMS on last service or not...I took it in for the clutch pedal TSB.

Now if I can see if any TW members who use TS actually got K-line support to work... K & L line is used to program ECU...I don't care about that...not tuning nor have knowledge to do that now.

Anyone with a lot of knowledge about TS can do screen capture walkthrough of some common functions to customize? Took me an hour to figure out the seat belt buzzer since there's no manual and software is really bad user interface...also I have 2014, so I'm not sure how well that is supported with my MVCI clone.

There is an online tutorial to help with the Techstream software. It is just after the hardware section.

This looks to be exactly what I am looking for. Unfortunately Tundratalk won't let me register, and the link won't work for me.

I called the dealer and asked how much it would cost to program a key to my truck. They told me an hour labor which is $150 which is rediculous! So I bought the mini vci cable and disc from Amazon. I could not get the cable to install but software for techstream did. After researching and messing with configurations still could not on my windows 8. I bought a used Launch scanpad a couple months ago and decided to see if there was a way to get into the immobilizer. Sure enough I was able to program the key like if I had techstream.

Could part of your TPMS problem be that 2014 did NOT have a TPMS sensor on the spare like some earlier years had?
