Hey guys, i am going to purchase a ladder rack for my 2005 tacoma (pictures below)

After looking at my bed rails, all i see is the plastic on the top and then i have the bed cleat rails on the inside
Do i have to remove the whole cleat assembly rails? They it almost flush with the sides but they stick out about an 1/8
Do i bolt it right thru the top, going thru the metal rails then putting bolt on bottom
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you all at TW, happy new years!

should just bolt to the bed rail. you can take off the cleats as in the corners of each bed rail there is a little end cap that you can pop off and slide the cleats off.

Circled red areas with arrows pointed to them are the little caps that you can pop off

I have removed my cleats, thanks, just hoping the rack goes right over the metal rail where the cleat attaches
