It’s clear from the get go that Meso only ships USPS though, stated right on the website. I doubt he saved a buck either since $11 in shipping charges is pretty much what a priority rate box costs at the business level.

You are definitely in the minority with that one. The tracking with USPS is absolutely terrible. It's exactly as six5 stated. I'm wondering if your dislike of the big two is form "Smartpost" or "Surepost" where the big two transport it for the long haul and turn it over to USPS for the last mile. That is absolutely the worst service of all. I track packages shipped that ridiculous method and what would be a next day with UPS or FedEx turns into a multi day Odessey where it goes one direction, passes me to go to a distribution center 100 miles away then into a USPS blackhole only to arrive 3 or 4 days later unannounced.

You obviously don't know shipping. It is a competitive business. The more you ship, the cheaper it gets. Meso probably isn't big enough to get a price break with the big two which is why they go with USPS. It's really quite foolish. I would never trust my business to something so poorly managed. USPS is government work at its finest.

I work at a parts store and deal with people like you all the time. The package was shipped the same day right. They have done everything in there power. Only thing more they can do is contact usps but they never come good for anything. You should be complaining about USPS.

That’s neither here nor there. Meso only uses USPS, only charged a rate commensurate with the shipping speed requested and delivered the package to USPS in a timely manner. Maybe he could offer other shipping services but that has no bearing on this case.

Yeah, I get TW jumping on defense when their beloved vendors are catching strays, but considering the context, OP's just upset he hasn't gotten his product that he paid for. Thats completely understandable.

The issue is everyone wants to blame someone else. OP wants to blame MESO, MESO wants to blame USPS, and USPS doesn't care at all honestly. Communication between OP and MESO has to remain civil in order for anything productive to happen.

OP, just call USPS, get an update using the tracking info provided to you, decide what you want from this, and relay that to MESO professionally. If you're not happy with the outcome after that, cancel it via your CC company and wash your hands of it.

If I ordered a part from your store with the intent of 2 day shipping and 2 weeks had passed with no part in hand, I'd say your store didn't do everything in its power to get me my part.

Why hasn't anyone asked who would be responsible for "making it right" in the scenario where the package is delivered by USPS, but then stolen off OP's front porch?

    Just for fun:stirthepot:

4 pages of reading and I'm still not sure who is supposed to be mad, or who we're supposed to be mad at, or what should or should not be done about it.

I have to ask, are you bleeding out, and the world's only tourniquet exists inside that package?

Two weeks is disappointing, sure, but you must be new to car parts. Most of us here are used to waiting on things for months. A few people in this thread have been able to measure a wait time in years. So its stuck at the post office. It happens. I've gotten things lost in the mail, or eaten by customs, or porch pirated. The key is that I work with the vendor, I carefully phrase my emails to demonstrate understanding and reason, I don't get mad if they take 48 hours to respond, and surprise, I almost always get my shit resolved.

Ask Trevor for a phone chat. Be nice. Be reasonable. Ask him to figure out the status of the lost package. Offer help in whatever capacity you can. Do that, and generally people will want to keep a customer like you. If you rant at someone like they just dropped a huge shit on your breakfast table, they tend to do whatever it takes to make you go away as fast as possible. Human behavior is funny like that.

So you give Meso a free pass for using a less reliable method, then charging more for service that is still equally as bad, then blaming the shipper? Wow, if I could find customers like you, I would be rich. The method of shipping has all the bearing on this case. How do you not see it? The OP didn't choose the shipper. Meso did. If there is a problem, it is on Meso for using USPS. He has to know they suck, but made a business decision to go with them. If you know your shipper is unreliable, then you as the business assume the responsibility. Using your flawed logic, when Meso has a quality issue with one of his products, he can just say "sorry, I don't make them. You are just out of luck".

If I could only find customers a gullible as you, I would be rich, but I know your type. If this happened to you, you would be screaming fraud.

It’s not about being gullible. It wasn’t hidden anywhere about what the shipping method was going to be. Purchasing a product shipped with USPS is always a gamble on shipping time regardless of what the quoted time is.

Common accepted rule is that until it gets in the hands of the buyer, it is the businesses responsibility. Your credit card company agrees with this as well. If you don't get it, you are not responsible. Now between the business and the shipping company, that is between them. Usually it falls onto the shipper since they are responsible for getting it into the right hands. They do leave packages on porches, and they do that for their convenience. Because if it were like the old days where they had to put it in someone's hands, they would end up making multiple trips which cost money. There are some areas where they won't leave on a porch, but it is all about risk management. When a package doesn't arrive the business has to file a claim with the shipper and unless insured will get virtually nothing back. If it is insured, they will still get back very little. It is a complicated process to recover anything. I once had a $1000 laptop vanish and I think the check they sent was about $250 after 6 months of fighting. In any case you transact with a business, it isn't yours until it is in your hands. As a wise man once said "the customer isn't always right, but they are always the customer"

    Three sides to every story.

    This is one side.

Also, shit gets lost in the mail/carrier have issues.

I've dealt with MESO before and their CS was over the top great.

    This seems off...

Did you piss them off or something? Or not telling the whole story?
