    Why would he contact USPS? As far as they are concerned MESO is the customer and they own the package. Not to mention y’all act like you just call up USPS. lol, give that a try and let me know how that works out. The shipping industry makes it extremely hard to speak to anything that is actually alive. And once he did get through they would tell him to contact the shipper for a refund.

    I can't agree with you, I retired from the shipping industry. The company I worked for (and I'm pretty sure pretty much all others) had an 800 number that shipper or receiver could call to get an update if there were questions, and you would get an answer. Ultimately, it is the shipper's responsibility to make good, but there is nothing wrong with being proactive. Nothing!

    A few additions to make me feel cool.
    Call that 800 number and let me know what the robot that answers has to say. It is an automated system. After you get through that you are on hold or you wait for a call back. If and when you get a call back it’s someone in a call center that literally tells you what you can read on the tracking screen.

    USPS has a missing mail search request form online
    When I used it last year I got a call from a guy at my local post office the next day and then a follow up call several days later.
    I have contacted my local PO through a number I got from the 800 line countless times to ask about this or that.
    Doesn’t seem that difficult to me, but then again I’m pretty patient.

    OP if I'm doing the math right we're at two weeks & no package after paying for two day shipping.....correct? Just looking for a recap.

    At the macro shipping companies do a great job when you think about the volume of product they move & the complexities involved.

    My experience has been if something goes sideways you're usually in for it & the service is utterly atrocious unless dealing with someone face to face at the post office, the FedEx dude in your driveway, etc.

    Everyone that has posted that the vendor has no control over what happens after he/she drops the package off is of course correct in one sense but the reality is that consumers broadly consider the shipping experience to be an extension of the service provided by said vendor, acting differently is ignoring the prevailing attitude of the American consumer which has to be taken into consideration when evaluating any company's response or lack thereof to an issue. Ghosting a customer is how you end up with a 9 pg banger on the internet about your company.

    Me personally, it wouldn't stop me from doing business with the vendor if I needed or wanted the product bad enough & there were no other options but if there were or I was whatev about it in terms of desire/need it definitely would have an impact.

    OP, it sucks but you gotta jump through the USPS troubleshooting hoops & then go from there (unless you already have, I speed-read this thread).

    I've had 5 or 6 orders with Meso through the years and while he is slow to respond sometimes he has always made things right in the end.

    You’re a funny guy, here’s a middle finger for you and the rest of your day. For every one else who has common sense, package still not here. Contacted USPS and they “alerted” from my receiving end. Meso has to do his part from the shippers end to kick start the investigation. Which I doubt because he’s so busy and he’s a one man operation and he’s has other things to do. I don’t know and I don’t care. Just want my money back, screw the harness kit.

    Dude we are all strangers. People start threads like this & then disappear when their problem is solved. It's a reasonable supposition. In one sense I am glad that is not true in this instance (b/c it wouldn't be fair to the vendor) but in another of course have empathy for you to still be dealing with this b/c I have been there. Thanks for the update. I hope you get your $ back soon.
