Hahaha......I should be deep in menopause, but I'm still always cold. So, when those infamous hot flashes do occur - I don't normally notice them. I go from being 'cold' to 'comfortable' and rarely 'HOT'.

My husband claims that my 'thermostat' is broken. LOL

I totally agree!! I just don't understand the 'thought process' of some people. And - from the crap you see in the media, all you see or hear about is the dumb irresponsible things people do on a constant basis. It's like.....the MINORITY are the people who actually put in an honest responsible hard working life.

I once worked in a factory - and this woman openly admitted (and was proud of it) that she had more kids just so she could more tax breaks and funds. WTF??

There was another guy that I worked with.....he worked just as many hours and busted his ass like I did. He'd claimed bankruptcy 3 times and his 'thought' process of money management blows my mind. And of course....he's just another person who KNOWS IT ALL. Hello?

Good Morning Ladies!! Sorry, I'm late again. Life is busy.

    Question for you outdoorsy people.....
I'm looking for a pair of 'waterproof' pants (per say) to wear while on the kayak. I always get water drippings on my legs while paddling. Although, this isnt' a big deal unless its cold outside and the water is cold. :)

I have a pair of thin cheap rain pants that I've been wearing, but I wanted something a little 'less cheap'. They need to have stretchy wasteband - for purposes I've discussed earlier - ( I never bought one of those 'things' but would rather just whip it out as normal LOL). I need to buy them 'bigger' so I can wear multiple layers underneath for cold weather. I've been around to various outdoor shops (including Bass Pro) and even looked thru Men's hunting gear - but just couldn't find anything that would work for me (too thick/too thin, too expensive, didn't have right size, yadda yadda yadda).

I already have a pair of 'convertible waterproof pants' (I see those everywhere) but those are way too thin and are more for summertime hiking, etc.

My husband has a pair of 5.11 Tactical pants that he uses - and we bought some waterproof spray to put on them. Wondering if I should just go that route?? Just can't find any for me to try on!!

    Any suggestions?

neoprene pants! haha. at least you'll stay warm....

Propper or tru-spec have similar pants to 5.11 that are cheaper. that spray will work on any of those types of pants regardless.
check out a local police shop or gander mountain. I've found 5.11 at both. the police shop had a full line.

    http://www.511tactical.com/store-locator/

I plugged your city in and it looks like they distribute to 2 gander mt's and a police shop!

I worked with one genius who said to me "why are you paying off your mortgage? You'll loose the tax write off."

Frigg'n moron. The write off is minuscule compared to the amount of money you are Pissing away in Interest.

I also worked with a gambler. He would piss away his entire paycheck every week. Never mentioned all his loses. You would only hear from him once in awhile when he would win.

He also filed bankruptcy several times. Each time, shortly before it would go thru the court, he would MAX OUT ALL HIS CREDIT CARDS.

BECAUSE HE KNEW HE WOULD NOT BE PAYING THEM BACK.

    WHAT A SCUMBAG

THATS WHY EVERYONE ELSE HAS TO PAY SUCH HIGH INTEREST RATES.

And I won't even get into the illegals up here that really know how to STEAL FROM THE GOVERNMENT.

    DISGRACEFUL

Stupid. Just paying one extra payment a year cuts 7 yrs off a 30 year note. Plus at our age no way we will work 30 more yrs.

Nope. I didn't rush to pay my student loans because I got to write the interest off, but my focus was on higher interest debts first. Different story.

I cut 20 years off mine! Saved close to $200,000.00 IN INTEREST

OMG I'm glad I've been investing it instead! Compound Interest!

200K becomes a million in cash in no time!

Max out your Retirement Accounts. It will be here a lot faster than you think.

Not even retirement, one never knows when life will change in so many ways. Plus I don't expect a dime in Social Security the way things are.

Retirement will hit me sooner than most because my wife is older, and my income alone will not sustain our present situation long term.

At the least I paid $50 a month extra so about 2/3rd of a payment. As I've gotten more projects done I've upped it to 300-400 a month, so that's about 5 payments extra per year.

Very smart...... Nobody should depend on the gov.

You bet things change. Number one cause of Bankruptcy: Illness

People get sick or injured and it can so quickly wideout everything theyve saved. And the costs of health insurance keep going up and up. They just said on the news that Obamacare will increase 25% and depending where you live, like Arizona, it's going up over 100%.

Can you imagine you're paying $1,000 a month and it goes up to $2,000??? Who can afford it. So you'll have to get some really crappy health plan instead. That sucks.

They said it's the first time in history when people will be paying more for health insurance than they pay on their mortgage.

That's criminal. We are being taken advantage of for sure.

Not sure you read the post I did on Numerology. Anyway, I looked at the VIN, added the numbers, yep you guessed it: it's a 3 just like me! HahahahHehehe.

    Crazy how that worked out.
