Make sure to check what they're putting on when you chose who to go with. I've heard a lot of them try to rip you off and put normal tint on because they think you won't notice. Good thing is these trucks have small ass windows! lol

 

That reminds me - I need to have the front windows of the 4Runner tinted ASAP!

Well, im a police officer....police officers have a crazy sense of humor. Almost sick at times

 

I know what you mean.I is a mechanic for PD.

 

That's anyone with a high stress, high risk job. My sense of humor has never been as black as it has downrange - you need to laugh to keep from screaming from the fear, insanity, and absolute absurdity of where death might come from.

 

Former Child and Adult Welfare Investigator here, and tons of police friends. When we went to meet for lunch or dinner? We could tell stories and clear out any place we "wanted" to. It did help in some places with horrible lines to get in But yes, even after being out of that field since 03, many still don't understand how my humor works and it has gotten me in trouble with people before (not like I really care as I think those ppl are uptight anyhow). It also left me being more direct than most so I tend to hurt feelings.........LOL

 

All of this. 18 years a LEO and I’ll neber be the same. Just work a homicide? Let’s have spaghetti for dinner. And there’s always the shot you’ll never talk about. To anyone. Those usually involved kids, you have my deepest appreciation @Apexgigi. That’s one area I know I would have turned down and not have liked if it was offered to me.

In some ways it’s kind of sad. Even the sappiest of movies/chick flicks, they don’t get to me...

Anyway... hey! Today is half off chocolate day! Go gitcha some!

 

Now I own a carpet care and restoration business (less time in court!) but we do crime scene and trauma clean up. And we have been known to eat some delivery pizza on breaks from it.....much to the disgust of ppl observing And yes, there are things that were crazy af. But I did become desensitized by much of it. It also leads me to immediately jump to the worst possible situation, outcome, etc. I do watch the news.........but I also get away from ppl by hitting the water for kayaking or something. Sometimes a fast ride on a jetski is enough to break the funk. I will also treadmill for an hour with an ipod so I just tune shit out. We cope different but better than most I think. We are also able to think things thru more clearly....IDK I know I can't explain it or train others in it........

I am glad others add some color. My friend picked up my Baja rack to make it pink and black. I can't wait to see it and get it installed!!
